Gecko Galz - November 2024

Hello November!

With Thanksgiving over now (I live in Canada and we celebrate in October!), my focus shifts to all things Christmas!!

I'm here today with your monthly dose of Gecko Galz inspiration!!!

Up first, a little information about Gecko Galz!

There are a ton of Challenges for you to participate in and you can even grab FREE products from the blog to get you going! You can find the Challenge Blog HERE.

Our theme in November is "Christmas Magic".

There is only one rule, and that is you need to use at least ONE  product from Gecko Galz!!

It can be one of the free products, stamps, collage images, or digital papers!!  It is up to you!!

The winner will receive a $25 Gecko Galz Shopping Spree!!

There is also a Facebook Challenge group for some other fun challenges - and you can find that HERE.

Onto my projects!!!

I of course went with primarily Christmas for this month's collection,

This cute Reindeer Ornament used the "Little Reindeers". I used a green string light from the dollar store to add some glow!  The wheat was handpicked from a local field and spray painted with gold paint. I love how it turned out! I fussy cut the deer to nestle them in the white "snow" that I fashioned out of some loose batting.

The greeting came from "Christmas Signs & Banners".

Next up, a sweet little gift box using the "Retro Christmas Collage Sheet".

Now, a set of 3 notecards featuring "Little Reindeers".

Lastly, I created a few gift tags!  I used images from "Christmas Scraps", "Little Reindeers" and "Christmas Signs & Banners".

I hope you enjoyed this month's collection and you will come along and play. Don't forget about all the free images on the blog and the gifts with purchase!

I hope you will check out all the amazing products Gecko Galz has to offer!!   Enjoy and I'll see you soon!

xoxo

Merry ChristMOOSE with Joy Clair

Hello friends!

I hope you have all your Christmas shopping and creating finished (or at least in full swing!). I know I'm a last minute shopper/prepper - so I'm still going strong! haha

If you are like me and still need some inspiration to create those cards, I have one more cute card idea using the Merry ChristMOOSE stamp set from Joy Clair!  Take a peek at how CUTE this set is:

I started by stamping the moose onto a piece of white Neenah cardstock and coloring with my Nuvo Maker pens. He's just so darn cute!  Then I cut out the image leaving a bit of a white border.

I had some Kaisercraft paper in my stash that was PERFECT with the pine trees, but still whimsical feeling along with some woodgrain paper, so I used that as my background.

Look how happy this guy is! LOVE it!  I used some really cool twines I had in my stash (thank you Dollar Tree!) and added the "Merry ChristMOOSE" sentiment, stamped in red.

Finally, I haven't played with Nuvo Crystal Drops in a while, so I added a few of those just to add a little sparkle. Every Christmas card needs some sparkle!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I wish you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS with a happy, healthy and CREATIVE New Year!

xoxo

Rinea Holiday Ornament

Hello crafty friends!

I have a brand new project to share with you today for Rinea!  As you can see, we are making this beautiful holiday ornament today!  Or you could use it was a bow for a present! Or...you could make it bigger and turn it into a wreath or wall decor!  The ideas are endless.  First up, here are the supplies you will need:
Jolly Foiled  Paper Variety Pack  - I used the Starstruck in Ruby, Silver and Emerald along with the Gloss in Silver/Gold and Ruby/Gold for this project.
Hot Glue Gun
Paper Trimmer
1 3/4" Punch (or die if you prefer)

Here is my video tutorial to show you how to make it:

Check out the blue version I created too using the Frosted Variety Pack:

Thanks for tuning in!  See you again next time!

Rinea Poinsettia Hoop

Hello friends!

I have a super cute new Rinea project to share with you today!  I used an old embroidery hoop I had kicking around to create this home decor project!  First up, gather the following supplies:

Embroidery Hoop
Poinsettia Dies (I used Spellbinders)
Big Shot (or your fave Die cutting machine)
Felt
Glue (I used Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive)
Scissors
Mini Scrabble Tiles

Step 1 - Die cutting!

Cut all your pieces!!  As you can see I cut multiple shades and sizes (including both the Glossy and Starstruck papers). I found I could easily and cleanly cut through 4 sheets of foiled paper at a time.

Step 2 - assemble your hoop base

Add your felt to your embroidery hoop and trim.

Step 4 - Assemble your flowers!

Pretty simple - glue each layer using Nuvo Deluxed Adhesive.

 Step 5 - Assemble!

I glued my assembled flowers onto my embroidery hoop - and then embellished. I had these adorable mini-Scrabble Tile stickers in my stash, so I thought they were the perfect touch!

A simple red ribbon finished off this cute home decor project!

So cute, right? I'm sure you have some old embroidery hoops in your stash too!  I think I will make a few more larger ones with regular Scrabble tiles as gifts!

Merry Christmas!

Papercraft Business Challenge - July 2018

Welcome to our July 2018 Papercraft Business Challenge!

Our theme is Anything Goes!  So, I went with Christmas In July!!

Here is what I created:

I actually pulled out an old Simon Says Stamp Card Kit and played with it's contents to create this card. I love tucking things away and then finding things to play with later.   You can't see it in this picture but there is actually texture on both the background papers. I'm so happy I tucked it away to play with later.

I’m entering this card in the following challenges:

I truly hope you will join in on this special challenge!

See you all next time!

Papercraft Business Challenge - December 2017

Welcome to our VERY FIRST Papercraft Business Challenge!  I'm so excited to be a part of this BRAND NEW Challenge Team!

Our theme is Anything Goes (with optional CHRISTMAS) - perfect, right?  We have a prize too!  You could win this adorable Magnolia Designs - Christmas Eve Edwin Stamp!

Here is what I created:

I picked up some products from the Pebbles "Merry Merry" Christmas Collection - the 6x6 Paper Pack & the Ephemera Pack - and went to work! I love being able to create fun things with less product, don't you?  This paper is fun and has a hint of a vintage vibe to me - which is my fave ;)

I decided to make a trio of cards in various shapes - a 4.5" round card, a 3x3 mini card and a standard A2 (4.5" x 5.5") card. All I needed to add in from my stash was some Green & Red Cardstock (I used New England Ivy & Ruby cardstock from Close to My Heart!)

I added a few hints of glitter using a glue pen and some Gypsy Red Glitter from SparkleNSprinkle. I love being able to create beautiful cards from minimal amounts of supplies - sometimes it's nice to be able to just pull out some adhesive and one or two other things to create!

I just love making Christmas cards - I always get a little sad when the "season" comes to an end.

I hope you will come and join us for this super fun new challenge!  Did you know that Papercraft Business also offers a FREE Blog Purpose Course?  It's perfect if you are just starting our or if you simply want to improve your Blog's purpose!

See you all next time!
