Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #91

Hello again!

It's that time of the week again - time for AHSC #91!
I challenged myself this week to use NO stamping!  I pulled out some of my faves from October Afternoon and went to work.  Here was the sketch:

I came up with two cards.  I flipped the sketch for the second card.

I even lined the inside of the cards:

The Cardstock colors I used were from Stampin' Up! (Peach Parfait, Island Indigo and Very Vanilla).  All the papers and embellishments are from the Cakewalk Collection by October Afternoon.

I hope you enjoy and will come and play along with us this week.

Until next time,
Jess

Sports Fun! Creative Corner Challenges

Hello all!

Three posts in one week?  WHAT!???  Yes - I've been creating up a STORM and loving every minute of it!

This week over at Creative Corner Challenges, Team Jess had the amazing opportunity to work with digi-stamps from Kenny K!

We had a lot of fun with our theme of "Sports Fun" and I chose a football digi to work with.  My brother in law in turning the big 4-0 in March, so I had him in mind when I started making my card!

Here is what I came up with:

I colored the image with Close to My Heart watercolor pencils and the papers/accent stickers were from Creative Memories (in my stash from a few years ago).  The brass brads are from Close to My Heart as well as the stamp (You Mean the World To Me - B1467).  I used Indian Corn Blue (CTMH) ink for my stamp and the brown cardstock is Chocolate Chip by Stampin' Up!.  The base came from Close to My Heart Kraft Brown card bases. I distressed the edges of the paper with TIm Holtz Distress Inks in Gathered Twig.

I do hope you will head over to Creative Corner Challenges and play along this week!  You might even with a prize from KennyK Downloads!

See ya next week!

Playing with some Sparkle N Sprinkle....

Hello again!

I found some time to play with a lovely new stamp set from SparkleNSprinkle called "Love & Kisses".  Such a cute stamp set!.

I also decided it was time to find a new fold for a card - so I found a quick tutorial over on Splitcoaststampers for a step card.  I really had fun!

Here is what I created:

I used some gold shimmer embossing powder on the hearts & their outfits were paper pieced.  I also embossed the MWAH! with red embossing powder.

I also came up with a regular A2 card as well:

I used some red embossing powder on the hearts & flocking on the smaller hearts under their feet!  I colored the image with watercolor crayons & blended.

I hope you enjoy!

Have a great week,

-jess

AHSC #89

I'm Hello again!!

Here we are at Atlantic Hearts Sketch #89!  This sketch was perfect to pull out my Artbooking cartridge and play with the Hopscotch Paperpack!

I did a pretty literal interpretation of the sketch this week:

I am really loving this new Paperpack! So light and fun (and versatile!).  I also added some ribbon, sequins, a mini clothespin and a matching "tin pin" (all from Close to My Heart).  The Stampset is called "You Mean the World to Me".  Most items are from the new Occasions mini catalogue (you can check out the new items here).

I do hope you come and play along with us this week!

Creative Corner Challenge - First of 2015!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I am soooo excited to announce that I have officially taken over a Team at Creative Corner Challenges!  Twice a month, TEAM JESS will bring you new challenges to play along with and even the chance to win prizes!  I hope you will check us out and play along!

For our first challenge, we were sponsored by Bugaboo (Thank YOU!).

I was excited to broaden my horizons and play with some more digi-stamps.  Our theme was "Be Mine" and I have to say, it was lovely to make things not Christmas related!

Here was what I created:

Here is the inside:

Isn't she a cute stamp?  So much fun!  I also used a brand new Paperpack from Close to My Heart called "Heartstrings".

I do hope you will come and play along with us.

Cheers!
