I chose to work with the NEW Stamp Set, Christmas Skates 789 (digi version DIGI789)!  I just love this set!

I started by stamping the skates using Versamark Ink {VM-001} and heat embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder {EP171}.  I colored them using my TwinTouch Markers and fussy cut out the image.

Next, I took a plain white doily and covered it with Versmark {VM-001}. I sprinkled on Sparkle Embossing powder {EP107} and heat set.

To make the sentiment, I stamped using Versamark {VM-001} and took the main skate stamp to make some of the holly leaves around the words. I used Black Detail Embossing Powder {EP171} to heat set, then colored in using markers.

I attached the doily to my patterned paper using Brushable Glue {540}. I also added a row of MonAmi Gabby Pearl Mesh {MON20} (adhered with 1/2" Tear-Ific Tape {SAT04} of course!)  The skate image was attached using Foam Squares {01615}.

Finally, I made some Icescicles!  How?  I used my Dimensional Glue to draw my Ice and sprinkled on some Sparkling Snow Glitter {G1003}!  I set it aside to dry and voila! :)

I hope you are inspired and be sure to check out all the fab products in the store!

The next stop on our blog hop is Eret and you can find her blog HERE.

Until next time,

Jess

Watercolor Flowers with SparkleNSprinkle!

Hello friends!

Happy Friday!

I'm back with another GORGEOUS card for SparkleNSprinkle June Release!  This time, I did a lot of fussy cutting and I think it sure added a ton of WOW factor to the card!

Supply List:
- Crimson
- Violet

To begin my card, I started by watercoloring a piece of Watercolor Paper using the Ken Oliver Color Burst Powders.  I simply sprinkled some of the powder on and created a sort of ombre effect using my aquapainter. I dried the paper using my heat tool (although you could just simply set it aside to dry - I was impatient! hehe).  Then, I used my Wild Rose Stamp and Memento Black Ink to stamp flowers all over my watercolor background. Then I grabbed my paper snips and started cutting out all those gorgeous flowers!

Once all my flowers were cut out, I started to create the card itself.  I used a square piece of Watercolor Paper and stamped a full set of flowers in the corner using Memento Black Ink.  I took my Jade Nuance Watercolor powder and painted in my leaves.  Now is where the fun comes in!  I started piecing back together my flowers using my fussy cut pieces!  I popped some up on Foam Squares for added dimension and texture to the card.  I also used my Quicky Glue Pen (a MUST HAVE in your craft stash!) and added some Hyacinth Glitter to the center of some of the flowers.  I stamped the "Happy Birthday" Sentiment using Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder. Simple and elegant I think!

To finish my card, I added some green and purple cardstock layers.  I used Embossing Folders (Diamond Pattern and Brick Pattern) to emboss both my background and my cardbase itself. I also added a natural fiber ribbon from my stash. All layers were attached with 1/8" Tear-ific Tape.  This stuff holds EVERYTHING together perfectly well. Such a versatile and amazing adhesive product.  I added some layers on the inside as well as another sentiment stamped with Versamark and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder.  I also added an extra color brush stroke with my Aquapainter and Watercolor Powder.  Just a little finishing touch.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.  I sure had fun making it.

Until next time,

Jess

Gold, Butterflies & Flowers with SparkleNSprinkle!

Hello friends!

Today I have a SparkleNSprinkle June Release card to share with you!  This stamp set, Country Flowers, is simply gorgeous!  I love the vintage feel of it. PLUS, I love working with the Nuvo Embellishment Mousse!  Let's go!

Supply List:
Nuance Watercolor Powders:
     - Purple {MNU003}
     - Jade {MNU004}
     - Orange {MNU006}

To start, I stamped the GORGEOUS Flower image onto Watercolor paper using the Memento Black Ink.  I used my Nuance Watercolor Powders and an aquabrush to paint. So much fun!  I just love how these powders blend and create gorgeous color.  Once it was dry, I fussy cut out the image.

To make the background, I chose a piece of purple cardstock and used a Butterfly Embossing folder to add texture. Then came the fun part - Nuvo Embellishment Mousse!  I used my finger tool and rubbed some of the Indian Gold Mousse all over the butterflies to give a gilded gold look!  I just love this stuff!

I added 2 strips of 1/8" Tear-ific Tape across the bottom of the background and sprinkled on some Pineapple Embossing Powder (heat setting of course!).  I think it adds another subtle layer of dimension.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink, embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder and die cut it out. I rubbed on some more of that gorgeous Embellishment Mousse!  I popped up both the sentiment and image on Foam Sqaures. I adhered the entire panel to my cardbase using Tear-ific Tape and finished off by adding 4 dots of Bright Gold Crystal drops in the corners.

I hope you enjoy this card and be sure to head over to the shop to pick up some of these fun supplies!  Especially the mousse ;)

Until next time,

Jess

MHKDesigns - Designer Inspiration

Hello friends!

I have one more post this week for MHKDesigns - my Designer Inspiration!  I decided to work with my fave from the new release - Open Bloom.

Here is what I created:

I printed off the flower in 2 different sizes and colored them with watercolor crayons.  Then, I fussy cut each flower out and covered them with clear embossing powder.  I used some Embellishment Mousse to accent the background and the sentiment.

I hope you enjoy and be sure to check out our Monthly Challenge!

Until next time,

Here is what I created:

I really had fun decorating this card!  Once I printed off the image, I grabbed some of my Ken Oliver Watercolor Powders and just went to town with them!  I used an aquapainter & green watercolor powder to highlight the stems of the leaves.  I also accented the butterflies with some glitter.

MHKDesigns June Release - Day 4 - I've Been Framed

Hello friends!

Welcome to Day 4 of our MHKDesigns June Release!  Today we are featuring the new Stamp Set called "I've Been Framed".

Here is what I created:

For this card, I printed off the frame as a large background. I inked up the edges and cut out an oval using my Oval Dies in the middle.  I use the same die to cut out the image and set it in the middle.  I kept the image uninked and I think it really pops out against the inked background.  I grabbed my flower collection and went a little flower crazy to decorate.  I love how this turned out!  Gorgeous images sometimes just need very little changing :)
