Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #231

Hello friends!

It's time for another great sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! Here it is:

Here is what I created:

I've been vibing with my October Afternoon stash lately - I know I can't hoard it forever! :)  I took the sketch and flipped it on it's side. I took a few liberties, but I LOVE how it turned out! :)

I hope you will come and play along with us!

See you next time!

Kitty Bee Designs - Challenge #104 Water Play

Hello friends!

It's time for another challenge at Kitty Bee Designs!  Challenge #104 is sponsored by Crafty Sentiments and The Paper Shelter!

I chose to work with Crafty Sentiments this round and the digi I chose was called "Hootie - Rain Go Away".   Our theme was "Water Play" - so anything water related!  I just thought this little owl in the rain was perfect!

Here is what I created:

I printed out the digi and watercolored it - sweet and simple! :)  I also added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew to accentuate the rain drops and the little puddle!

I hope you will come along and play with us this challenge!  See you next time!

SparkleNSprinkle - Lovely Magnolia

Hello friends!

I have a really beautiful "Lovely Magnolia" Card to share with you today for SparkleNSprinkle!  I just fell in love with this gorgeous stamp set!

Supply List:
Lovely Magnolia Stamp Set #853
Tonic Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens - Aqua Splash 908n, Evergreen Fern 902n, Soft Rose 911n
1/4" Tear-ific Tape (SAT01)
Black Detail Embossing Powder (EP171)
Versamark Ink (VM-001)
Clear Embossing Powder (EP120)
Ballerina Pink Glitter (GM2024)
Sparkling Snow Glitter (G1003)
Nuvo Small Glue Pen (202N)
Tonic Floral Craft Kit (380)
Nuvo Jewel Drops - Key Lime 645n

Let's get creating!

Of course I started by making flowers!  I stamped a bunch of the flower images onto a piece of white cardstock using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed them with Black Detail Embossing Powder EP171. Using my Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens (my new favorite watercoloring tool!), I colored them in. For this card, I focused on the aqua greens & blues and used the Aqua Splash, Evergreen Fern and Soft Rose colors.  After they were dry (they dry extremely quickly!) I fussy cut out each image.

Next up, I started on my background panel. The patterned paper I chose had a bit of a watercolor pattern to it, so I didn't have to add much else!  I randomly stamped the smaller Magnolia flower all over the panel using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed with Clear Detail Embossing Powder. It's so hard to tell in the pictures, but this gave such a subtle, pretty texture to the background.  I added 2 strips of 1/4" Tear-ific Tape (kindof in the style of a ribbon around a present!), removed the protective backing and sprinkled on Ballerina Glitter. I burnished it in well with my finger tool :)

Finally, it was time for assembly!  I tied a small piece of white&gold ribbon around the base of the flower and adhered it to the panel using foam square for extra dimension. The sentiment was directly stamped to the background paper with Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder. The entire panel was added to a blush pink card base using the 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. I added some small drops of Key Lime Jewel Drops for even more texture and the finishing touch was some Sparkling Snow Glitter added to the flower using the Small Nuvo Glue Pen!

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I had fun making it!  See you very soon with even more projects! I'm hoping to add videos in the near future - I just have to get brave enough to do so!

See ya next time!

Jess

Hello friends!

I'm back with another quick share for SparkleNSprinkle!  I was sent this cute little stamp set from SNS to play with - it's called "School Mice" by Stampendous!

School Mice Stampendous Rubber Stamp [HMCR102]

So, off I went creating and I'm excited to share my finished card!

Here is what I created:

This sweet little card came together very quickly!  Here is my supply list:

I started by stamping the Mice using Versafine Black Onyx ink. I watercolored them in carefully using the Aqua Flow WatercolorPens along with some plain watercolors (for the colors I didn't have!).  I added Ballerina Pink Glitter to the books using the Medium Nuvo Glue Pen.  All the layers were attached using 1/2" Tear-ific Tape. I did a little "splatter painting" with my watercolors too for some extra fun! I added the Morning Dew Crystal Drops in the corners and finally, I added some subtle Gold Dots in the background with the Gold Glitter Marker!

I hope you enjoy this sweet little card! :)  It was a lot of fun making!

See you next time!

Happy Hopping!

I was so excited about this month's release!  It was so hard choose just one for the release, but I went with my fave - the Lovely Magnolias!

Here is my supply list:
Antique Rose Crystal Drops - 656n
Tonic Floral Crafters 380

First, I started by stamping the image with Versamark Ink and embossing with Black Detail Embossing Powder. Then I grabbed my Aqua Flow Pens from Tonic Nuvo and colored them in. I stamped the small flower multiple times and then fussy cut them all out after they were watercolored.  I also stamped the leaves and followed the same steps. Aqua Flow - Fussy Cut! :)  I colored some of the larger flowers at the same time for future projects ;)

Next, I grabbed my Tonic Studios Floral Crafters Tool Set and started shaping the flowers and petals. It took some practice to get the right about of bend and angles - but I LOVE this tool set! It has a soft spongy mat to work on plus 3 stylus pens and your tweezers.

I embossed a piece of blush colored cardstock for my background using an embossing folder. Then I rubbed Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse all over it. I LOVE how it turned it almost a coral color!

I die cut a piece of pink patterned paper, rubbed Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse and stamped random flowers on it using Versamark Ink. I sprinkled on Golden Follies Embossing Powder and head set. This because my background for my flower arrangement.  I also rubbed on some Embellishment Mousse onto the flowers.

I used Glue Dots to arrange my flowers and petals - aren't they pretty?  All of the layers were adhered with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. To finish off flowers, I used the Small Nuvo Glue Pen and sprinkled on Ballerina Glitter and Burgundy Glitz Glitter.

The sentiment was stamped with Vesamark Ink and embossed with Golden Follies (I think this is my new fave embossing powder!).  I added drops of Antique Rose Crystal Drops as the finishing touch!

I hope you enjoy this card!  The next stop on the hop is the amazingly talented Diane!  You can find her blog HERE.

I'm also entering this card in the following challengs:
Classic Design Team Open Challenge #17
