Gecko Galz - July 2024

Hello friends!

Happy July!

Summer fun is in the cards!  Our June was super rain and colder than usual, so I'm excited for some heat and pool time!

I fell in love with Flamingo Court Junk Journal Kit and have tons of projects to share!

Our theme in July is Sea of Dreams.

I created the 2 bookmarks for this theme using the Sea Life Digital Collage Sheet!

There is only one rule, and that is

Onto my projects!!!

I started with 4 cards.  Aren't they fun? I fussy cut out the entire Junk Journal Kit to get started and then just started arranging the pieces. I typed up the sentiments on my computer and printed them out.

 

I used images from the Flamingo Court Junk Journal (special monthly kit!) to make this card. I

Next up...my very first Junk Journal!

 

Finally, I created a Tag and a Scrapbook Layout!

Gecko Galz - June 2024

Onto my projects!!!

I started with this cute 5x7 card!  Isn't it adorable? 

 

I used images from the Fish Camp Collection to make this card. I printed out the entire sheet as a background, then I enlarged the fist image!  I used a few bubble embellishments along with some nautical ribbon and Tonic Drops to finish it off.

My other projects were also some greeting cards!

This card also used the same images from the Fish Camp Collection. I really love the bold colors and watercolor feeling.

These 2 cards were super fun to make! I used the background papers and images from the 

Retro Home Front Craft Kit. You will love this entire kit! There are papers, images and a super cute digital stamp kit included.

Gecko Galz - April 2024

We are celebrating all things Ethereal Spring this month and my feature project is super cute Fairy Bookmark!

Onto my projects!!!

I started with a Fairy Bookmark!  Isn't it adorable? 

I used the Fairy from the Magical Dreamland Tin Toppers to create this bookmark! I cut out the fairy wings twice to add a 3d effect and used Mod Podge to adhere everything to a blank bookmark base!

My other projects were some greeting cards.

For this card, I printed out two sets of the flowers. I fussy cut all the sunflowers out and popped them up with dimensional dots.

This month's projects are short and sweet - but I think the colors of these amazing digis speak for themselves!  Sometimes you don't have to go overboard with embellishments, etc. Letting the images shine can be fun too!

Onto my projects!!!

I started with an Altered Heart Fairy Box!  

I will be posting a full tutorial for this tomorrow!!

 

 

Isn't it adorable? 

I used images from Colors of the Wind Tin Toppers &  Mushroom Maidens!

My second project was a

Banner Wall Hanging!!

 

I used a wooden banner piece I had in my stash and started by decoupaging some of the carved flowers paper with Mod Podge.  I fussy cut more flowers and pieces and kept creating until I felt it was done!

Finally, I created some Floral Cards!

I am completely in love with the Carved Flowers Set! Here are my cards;

Phew! I really stretched my creativity this month and I hope I gave you some inspiration to do the same.  I'm planning a few more in depth posts this month to share how I created them.

Gecko Galz - February 2024

Onto my projects!!!

For Flights of Fancy, I created this altered tin bottlecap! I picked up this base from our local dollar store. The Balloons came from the Flights of Fancy set.

I printed off the images and then fussy cut the balloons and flowers!  I added some floral accents and some 3D bird embellishments along with a cute die cut!

My second project was an Altered Paintbrush!!

The paintbrush was once again from the dollar store!  I printed off the FREE ATC Set from January (you missed this one so be sure to grab this month's HERE). I did use some chalk paste to color the handle gold and then just arranged the cut outs! How fun!!!

Up next....Altered Candles!

 

 

To make the smaller one, I started by printing off the image (this was a freebie image from the blog too!) onto tissue paper using my inkjet printer! I cut out the image and then, using a heat gun, I gently melted the tissue into the wax!! 

For candle #2, I used Mod Podge to decoupage the tissue paper onto the glass jar! I let it dry and then accessorized with flowers and taffeta ribbon.

Finally, I created some Valentine Cards!

The images from these cards came from Sweet Valentine's Paper Pack and the Love Me Do Digital Kit!

Phew! I really stretched my creativity this month and I hope I gave you some inspiration to do the same.
