Die Cut & Star Stampz Challenge with Creative Knockouts

Hello crafty friends!

It's time for a new challenge over at Creative Knockouts Challenge #339. Our theme this week is "Punches/Die Cuts and our sponsor is the amazing "Star Stampz".  I chose to work with a stamp set called "Spring Bumblebee” - she just too cute! Plus spring is around the corner, I just feel it!  I pulled out some older Tonic Studio dies to create this card. I kind of like this stashbusting trend I have going on - working with Digital Stamps is a great way to incorporate something new with physical supplies you already have.

Here is what I created:

I hope to see you at the challenge! :)

Until next time,

Jess

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #357

Hello friends!

I've had a few SCT Samplers kicking around, so for the next few AHSC posts, you will see me using them up! If you don't know what the SCT Sampler is, you can check it out here. In a nutshell, it's a mini membership that gets you a "sample" pack of different craft supplies from various companies each month! I had a few of them piling up that I hadn't used, so I made myself put my membership on hold until I used them. How's that for self-blackmail? haha

I don't know why it took me so long to use them! There are tons of cute papers and embellies! Plus, stamp sets and tools like embossing folders sometimes too. I believe I have made the next 6 Challenge cards from last summer's sampler .

I've been playing along with the sketches from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for years now and every week I'm inspired to create!  Here is this week's sketch:

The sketch was created by Michelle Stewart and digitized by Brandi Robinson.

I hope you will come and play along with us!

See you next time!

Rinea Ghost Ink Hap-bee Birthday Card

Hello crafty friends!

I have a fun new card to share with you for Rinea this week.  If you recall, in my last Rinea post, I created various backgrounds using the new Ghost Ink 2.0 (see post here!).  This week, I'm sharing a card I created with one of those backgrounds!

Here are the supplies I used:

I followed up on the bee theme and did a little free painting with the Ghost Ink Re-Inker. Simply dip your paintbrush (as show in the video) and paint where you want the color of the Foiled Paper to be removed! Let it sit for about 10-12 seconds and wipe with a cloth. Voila!  The color is magically removed.

You an also do some freehand writing with the paintbrush and Ghost Ink 2.0 Re-Inker! Here is an example:

You are just going to love the new ink. Guess what? I used the Misfits Foiled Paper Variety Pack for all of these projects! The Misfits are just perfect for trying new techniques.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Want to save 10% off your next Rinea purchase? Use code "JESSICAKAISER" and shop HERE.

I hope you will go out and make your own cool backgrounds. See ya soon!

Creative Knockouts Challenge #337

Hello crafty friends!

It's time for a new challenge over at Creative Knockouts Challenge #337!  Our theme this week is a recipe challenge and our sponsor is Jan’s Digi Stamps. The recipe is super simple:

1- image
1- sentiment
2- different pattern papers
3- embellies (3 of the same or 3 different items)

I am very lucky to have a few of Jan’s images in rubber stamp form, so for today’s card I used the “Friendship Flowers” stamp set along with a sentiment from “Rustic Flowers”.

Here is what I created:

I stamped the image with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, embossed the image with clear embossing powder and watercolored with Nuvo AquaFlow Pens.

I’m entering this card over at Jan’s Challenge Blog - Challenge #7 Anything Goes

I hope to see you at the challenge! :)

Until next time,

Jess

Ghost Ink 2.0 with Rinea

Hello friends!

I'm super excited to share my Rinea YouTube video with you this month -and it's all about techniques!  Did you read my blog title? YES - you read it right!  We have a BRAND NEW formulation of Ghost Ink - Ghost Ink 2.0 - and you are going to fall in LOVE with it!

For this tutorial, you are going to need the following:

Embossing Folders
Cloth or paper towel
Paint Brush

Now check out all the cool things I was able to do with the new Ghost Ink in this video:

I took the backgrounds I created and made this really cool Valentine Card:

I used the Ghost Ink 2.0 Pad here to stamp and lift the color.

I added a few bees using embossing powder - apparently bees are super hot in the crafting world right now! Who would have guessed they would be the next big thing?

I love using the Misfits Foiled Paper Variety Pack to play with different techniques! You would never know that there was anything "wrong" with them - and you get a variety of colors to play with.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed my video and that you will go and grab yourself some of the new Ghost Ink 2.0.

See you soon!
