SparkleNSprinkle - Farm Fresh Cows

Hello friends!

We are heading back to the farm this week with SparkleNSprinkle!  I am still showcasing these versatile farm sets.  I was inspired by sunsets, so that is how this idea came to fruition.  Today' card features the Farm Fresh - Cows Stamp Set. First, as always, my SparkleNSprinkle supply list:

Supply List (SNS):

Let's get creative!

First things first, I stamped my cow image onto a piece of white cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder (the second set of cows in the photo was embossed with Blackened Bronze Embossing Powder and I will include photos of the card at the end of this post!).  Using the Tonic Studios Aqua Flow Pens, I did some light watercoloring, building the colors until I created the sunny background.  I used a clear acrylic block as my watercolor palette and a refillable Aqua Pen to pick up the color.

Set that aside to dry and went to work on my background.  Using the Beautiful Bokeh Stencil overtop of a piece of white cardstock, I carefully added my Moonstone Glimmer Paste. I just love this stencil!  You are going to see a lot of it this month ;)  The Glimmer Paste is a wonderful Mixed Media medium - you should really give it a try!

While that dried, it was onto my "grass". I used a Lawn Fawn grass diecut to create this embellishment. First, I covered a strip of light green cardstock with Versamark Ink, then heat embossed with Stickum Powder. While it was sticky, I added my Grassy Green Flocking and burnished it in. I slightly reheated the Stickum Powder to ensure a good hold. Then, I ran the paper through my Big Shot using the Lawn Fawn Grass Die. Cute trick, huh?

Using the Tonic Mixed Edge Oval Dies, I die cut out an oval from the piece of white cardstock with the Glimmer Paste on it. This became my "window" over the cow panel.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and embossed with Forest Green Embossing Powder. I popped it up with Foam Sqaures and tied a piece of gold & white twine around the edge.

Finally, it was time to assemble! I used 1/4" Tear-ific Tape to hold all the layers together. The "grass" was tucked in behind my window and the oval centered over the cows.

Here is a second card I created using this same technique:

I hope you enjoy this card and my tricks to go along in creating it!

See ya again soon!

SparkleNSprinkle - Farm Fresh Tractors

Hello friends!

I'm back again today with another fun FARM FRESH card for SparkleNSprinkle!  I love these stamps as I get a lot of requests for farm themed masculine cards. They will work perfectly!

SNS Supply List:

So to begin this fun farm card, I created a sparkly, shimmery background using the Tonic Studios Beautiful Bokeh Stencil & Nuvo Blue Topaz Glimmer Paste.  The stencil was very simple to use - I simply laid it overtop of my black cardstock piece and spread on the Glimmer Paste using a craft spatula. I made sure each hole was covered well and scraped off the extra with my spatula, adding it back into the container.

While my background dried, I cut a piece of dark red cardstock using the Clematis Vine Die - I just love all the detail that these dies provide! Sooo gorgeous!  Next, I started working on my main image! I stamped the tractor image from the set using Onyx Black Versafine Ink.  I watercolored it using the Nuvo Aqua Flow Watercolor pen in Red Apple. A bit of black watercolor was added to the tires and I accented some of the chrome using the silver Glitter Markers.

I lightly stamped the Cream Can images beside the tractor using Veramark Ink and embossed with Clear Detail Embossing Powder.  I gave it a light blue watercolor wash just to make them pop out a little bit.  I used the Tonic Mixed Edge Oval Dies to cut out the tractor and a black outline piece. All the layers were attached using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape.  The sentiment was stamped in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Red Apple Embossing Powder.  I cut out the sentiment and matted it on red cardstock.

Finally, all the layers were adhered using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. I used the Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive to adhere my Clematis Vine cutout.

Finally, accents of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Autumn Red were added.

I hope you enjoy this card and that you head on over to the SNS Store to check out some of these fun new supplies! :)  Don't forget about our Monthly Challenge Group - you can find us on Facebook!

See you next time!!!

SparkleNSprinkle - Winter Blue Jay

Hello Friends!

I'm here today with another gorgeous card for SparkleNSprinkle!

This time, I was working with the card called "Winter Blue Jay" - it's so pretty! I worked with the Digital Version.

Supply List:

So, this was a pretty easy card and came together quickly!

I started by running my background through an embossing folder that was inked up with Versamark Ink.  While still wet, I sprinkled on Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat set.  It created such a pretty background!  I added a bit of Glimmer Paste around the edges to simulate snow.  I set it aside to dry and started on my image. I printed it off (LOVE DIGIS!) and fussy cut out the image. I used the Nuvo Small Pen to trace the branch and added Pebble Copper Embossing Powder, heat setting.

I also added a border around the sentiment and embossed with Mediterranean Star Embossing Powder.

To finish off, I added a bit of Liquid applique snow! :)  How fun!

The image was popped up using Foam Squares for dimension and layered up the card using 1/2" Tear-ific Tape.

I hope you love this card!  I sure do! Plus, I just LOVE pre-colored digital images!

Until next time,

SparkleNSprinkle - Mr. Snowflake Layout

Hello friends!

I'm here today with a fun layout for SparkleNSprinkle, featuring Mr. Snowflake (DIGI3127) - a DIGITAL only release this month!

Supply List:

SO this was super fun for me to make!  I started out by printing the colored Digital images onto white cardstock. I used the Wreath, the Snowman and the sentiment.

I fussy cut them all out and then started having fun with my Nuvo Small Glue Pen & Glitter! To add the glitter, I simply drew on the area I wanted it to be using the Glue Pen and then sprinkled on the glitter.  Brush off the excess and voila!

I added Sugar Plum to the wreath, Mr.Snowflake's scarf and the wreath he is holding. I used Tiger Orange on his carrot nose and Luau Green on his hat!  Blue Haze added a touch of glitter to his gloves & pipe smoke and Sassy Silver on his bells and the sentiment. How easy is that?

Next, I added the Moonstone Glimmer paste to the base of Mr. Snowflake. I used a small spoon to dab the paste on and make it piled up like snow.  Such a fun product!  I also added a row of it to the top of the piece of patterned paper where I put the icicles.  I set it aside to dry (took about an hour).

I assembled my page layout using various pieces of patterned paper.  I added 2 rows of 1/4" Tearific Tape across the length of once piece of paper and used Luau Green to add some extra sparkle. Then I tied the Pull Ribbon around the piece of patterned paper.  All of the layers were adhered to the base using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. I should mention that this is an 8x8 Layout! :)

To finish off the page, I added tons of dots with the Nuvo Crystal Drops!  I used the Morning Dew and Crushed Grape to add tons of dimension and fun. I even "drew" on some icicles!  What do you think?

I hope you head over to the shop to pick up this fun digital stamp!  Until next time,

SparkleNSprinkle - Elephant Christmas Slider Card

Hello friends!

I'm here with another gorgeous creation for SparkleNSprinkle.  We had sooo many amazing stamps to choose from this month.  This super fun slider card was created using Elephant Christmas, some of the amazing new Nuvo Gilding Flakes AND Glimmer Paste!

Let's get started!

Supply List:
Elephant Christmas Stamp Set #802
Versamark Ink - VM001
White Cardstock
Green Cardstock

Step 1 - Stamp and color your images.
I stamped the elephant, the tree and the stockings onto white cardstock, then colored with my TwinTouch Markers. I then fussy cut everything out into parts (the stamp is a solid image - so I thought this was a great way to change up the image! :)  I did my stamping using Onyx Black VersaFine Ink .

Step 2 - Add some SPARKLE!
For this tree, I added the NEW Moonstone Glimmer Paste to the bottom of the tree  and the elephant's Santa Hat using a small spoon.  It was dry in about an hour or so (leave over night for complete curing). I added some of the Sparkling Snow Semi-Transparent Glitter &  Inference Glitter to the ornaments using the Small Nuvo Glue Pen.   I also used Rhubarb Crumble Nuvo Crystal Drops on some of the ornaments and the stocking decoration. Puffy liquid applique was applied to the stocking tops.

Step 3 - Background

To create my card front background, I ran the Nuvo Large Glue Pen around the outside edge and let dry.  Then I got to play with my Silver Bullion Gilding Flakes!  Oh what fun!  You simply sprinkle all over the adhesive, rub on gently and brush away the excess. P.S.  Don' sneeze when you have the lid open!  Flakes everywhere! LOL

Step 4 - create your slider panel.
I used 2 pieces of white cardstock (cut the same size). I punched out the "slider" area using a window punch.  Then I applied foam adhesive all around the edges of the panel and right along where I wanted my slider to be.  I took a penny and applied a small piece of the foam on the back of the penny. Placing it in the slider hole, flip over the panel, then adhered the little elephant image on the front side of the penny. Remove all the foam tape backing and add your second piece of white cardstock (this closes the entire slider back).

Step 5 - Decorate the front!

All I did was simply place my trimmed images on the card front to make my scene.  I wanted the elephant to look like it was hanging an ornament on the tree :)  I did a little swirl embellishing using the Small Nuvo Glue Pen and the Inference Gold Glitter.  The sentiment actually came from the July Release stamp called "The Christmas Skate". It was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Christmas Fire Embossing Powder.  I popped it up with a bit of Foam tape :)  I adhered the fussy cut images with 1/2" Tear-ific Tape and then added the whole white panel to the Green Card Front.

I hope you enjoy my cute Slider Card and are inspired to go and create your own!

Have a great weekend (Happy Thanksgiving if you are in Canada!)
