Rinea Easter/Baby Shower Topiaries

Hello crafty friends!

I have some cool new projects to share with you for Rinea today! :)  I wanted to make some sort of Topiary and create two different versions. SO - I created one with larger flowers to be used as a Baby Shower decoration (like a centerpiece) and one as an Easter Decoration (which you will see at the end of the post!).  Want to know how I made it? Read on!
The first Topiary starts with a styrofoam easter egg shape. I used a flower punch to cut the shapes from Silver/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper  and Lavender/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.  I totally forgot to count how many flowers I used - but it would depend on the size of the flower you are cutting and your styrofoam base.

Once I had all my pretty flowers cut out, I started pinning them into the egg using plastic head pins (you could hot glue if you didn't want a pin showing). I fluffed each petal out as I went.  Once it was completely covered, I inserted a paper straw into the bottom of the egg to hold it up.

I took a small terra cotta pot and added a strip of the Lavender Glossy Paper around the top to decorate. Inside the pot in added a few river stones for weight and topped with some faux moss, then inserted my egg.  Finally, one more flower was added to the front of the pot and a pretty cabochon was added to the center.

You could totally change the colors to blues for a boy shower or neutrals for a surprise shower! They would make adorable centerpieces. I used the new Florals Pack to make this one:

For this pot, instead of the moss, I used shreds of Rinea Foiled Paper! :) More "Easter" I felt. I also used dressmaker's pins on this topiary - you can't really see them as much. A totally different option for you!
I hope you enjoyed my quick tutorial!  See you again really soon!

Easter Parade & Welcome Spring!

Hello crafty friends!

I have a brand new post to share with you today for SparkleNSprinkle!  It features 2 March Release stamp sets - Easter Parade and Welcome Spring!

Here is my SNS Supply List:
Other non-SNS Supplies:
- kraft, yellow and light green cardstock
- journaling pen
- Nuvo Crystal Drops
- ShinHan Markers

If you need a quick and happy spring card, this one is for you! First, I started by stamping my Welcome Spring daffodil image onto the kraft cardstock (approx 4.5x4.5) with Veramark Ink and heat set with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I used Watercolor Pencils to color the daffodil.

On a sheet of white cardstock, I stamped the cute little birdie using black ink and colored the ears & feet with ShinHan markers, then covered the body with Dimensional Glue. I sprinkled on the Sun Dazzle Flocking, tapped off the excess and let it dry.  Cute little fuzzy duckling!!
The sentiment was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat set with Black Dtail Embossing Powder. To the cardbase, I covered the edges with 1/2" Tear-ific Tape, then sprinkled on Dandy Dandylion Embossing Powder and heat set to create a border.

The layers were all attached with 1/2" Tear-ific Tape. Once my birdie was dry, I attached her with some foam squares for dimension. Finally, I used a jouranling pen to create faux stitching around the edges.

Super cute!

Thanks for stopping by!

Reckless Love with Joy Clair

Hello beautiful friends!
I have a new post for Joy Clair Stamps today!

I used the stamp set "Reckless Love". It's part of the Color By Faith Series, but you can definitely use it for more than just bible journaling! In fact, I used it today to make a handmade card and a bookmark!

Here is the handmade card I created for you:

March 1

It's a simple card to make! I started by stamping  the flowers and leaves multiple time, then colored with watercolor pencils. The focal sentiment was stamped in a Verdent Green Versafine Clair ink.  The embellishments came from my stash - I'm really trying to use up a lot of my stash this year before investing in more supplies!

As a bonus, I also created this beautiful BOOKMARK using the same stamp set!

March 3

I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.

Rinea Flowers Card

Hi friends!

I have a brand new Rinea project to share with you today - and of course, I'm starting with a handmade card!  This card features the Ghost Ink Technique.  I used the Fuchsia/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper Blush/Blush Starstruck Foiled PaperBlush/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and the  Fuchsia/Fuchsia Starstruck Foiled Paper to make this card.

The flowers were from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps. I stamped using black Stazon Ink onto the Blush/Blush Starstruck Foiled PaperBlush/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and the  Fuchsia/Fuchsia Starstruck Foiled Paper, then fussy cut them out.

To make the background, I stamped the flowers with Ghost Ink, heat set then wiped off using rubbing alcohol. Isn't it cool how the color magically disappears and you are left with gorgeous silver underneath?

I added a few layers of cardstock and wrapped with twine, then added a sentiment too. The flowers were popped up with foam squares and I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops for extra embellishment!  Here are a few more close up view of my card:
