SparkleNSprinkle - Sunflower Cheer

Hello crafty friends!

I have one more SparkleNSprinkle card to share with you this month - a bonus card!  I couldn't resist making a 4th reveal card featuring this adorable set - Sunflower Cheer!  It's a quick make - and so sunny!!!

Here is my SNS Supply List:

Brocade Backgrounds Stamp Set 398

I stamped the Sunflower images with Versamark Ink onto Neenah cardstock, embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder and used the Nuvo Marker Pens to color one of the flowers and Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens to color the other! I love how different the effects are. I fussy cut the images out and set aside to work on the rest of the card.

I stamped with background using Brocade Backgrounds Stamp Set. I used Versamark Ink and embossed with Firefly Embossing Powder. SOO pretty!  I edged the paper and all my pieces with Lemon Sorbet Embellishment Mousse. The "Hello" sentiment was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Nautical Embossing Powder. Nuvo Sunkissed CopperGilding Flakes were added to my patterned paper using the Nuvo Medium Glue Pen. I randomly scribbled on the glue and let it dry. Ones the glue was dried and "tacky", I gently added on the Gilding Flakes.  I sprinkled on a bit of Super Thick White Embossing Powder to random spots and heat set from underneath.

The layers were attached with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. Of course I had to use the Gold Coast Glitter drops in the corners :)

More photos of the final card:

I hope this sunflower card gave you some cheer today!  See you again next time!

SparkleNSprinkle - Dancing Penguin

Hello crafty friends!

Welcome to my first REVEAL card for September!  We have lots to share with you this month - so hold on tight!  The first set I am working with is called "Dancing Penguin".  You can actually buy it alone or as a bundle with Crystal Snowflake for a savings! I created a super cute slider card.

Here is my SNS Supply List:

This card is a snap to make - in fact, you are going to see a second version of it later this month! :)

Start with your background paper - it's going to be 5.5" x 8.5". You are going to score it at 4" and again at 8".   You are also going to cut a slit 1" from the right hand side - this is where your "slide" will be. (I attached my front panel first before I cut the slit).  Cut it from 1" from the top down to 4.5". This is going to create your "pocket". Your insert for the slider is going to be slightly smaller -
3 3/4" x 5".

You will also use a circle punch to cut out your "tab" at the top of the slider. A piece of 1/4" Tear-ific Tape is placed on the right hand edge to close up your pocket.

To attach your slider front to back, you will take a small strip of scrap paper about 1/2" x 2.5" and put it through the slit - attaching your image on the front and the back to your slider insert. When you pull out your insert, your character will slide to the top!

I stamped my image with the Nuvo Hybrid Black Shadow Ink and I colored my sweet little penguin friend with Nuvo Marker Pens.  A bit of Aztec Gold Glitter to this little bell using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. After the Glitter dried, I fussy cut out my penguin and set him aside.

The background of the front panel was fun! I stamped the snowflakes from the Crystal Snowflake set randomly over my paper with Versamark Ink. I gently sprinkled on some of the Atlantis Burst Shimmer Powder and GENTLY burnished it into the Versamark with a brush! It gave me this icy, shimmery background! SOO Cool!  Even cooler? When I finished off my project with the Gold Coast Glitter Drops, some of the Glitter Drops picked up the shimmer powder color and turned blueish!  Fun! :) I'm sure at this point you could have spritzed with water to activate the pigments, but I just left it as is. I also used the same technique on my slider inside panel.

The sentiments were stamped with Veramark Ink and embossed with one of my faves - Nautical Embossing Powder!  I matted with a piece of blue carstock and then after attaching to my cardfront, I added some Shaved Ice Glitter with Dimensional Glue (NOTE: Don't try to slide your penguin up before your glue dries - don't ask me how I know! haha).

I just love the final outcome!  Fun and happy, don't you think? :)

Can't wait to share the rest of my projects with you this month!!    Don't forget to check out BOTH of our challenges this month - our SparkleNSprinkle Creative Challenges AND our Facebook Challenge Group. I was so excited about this month's release!  It was so hard choose just one for the release, but I went with my fave - the Lovely Magnolias!

Here is my supply list:
Antique Rose Crystal Drops - 656n
Tonic Floral Crafters 380

First, I started by stamping the image with Versamark Ink and embossing with Black Detail Embossing Powder. Then I grabbed my Aqua Flow Pens from Tonic Nuvo and colored them in. I stamped the small flower multiple times and then fussy cut them all out after they were watercolored.  I also stamped the leaves and followed the same steps. Aqua Flow - Fussy Cut! :)  I colored some of the larger flowers at the same time for future projects ;)

Next, I grabbed my Tonic Studios Floral Crafters Tool Set and started shaping the flowers and petals. It took some practice to get the right about of bend and angles - but I LOVE this tool set! It has a soft spongy mat to work on plus 3 stylus pens and your tweezers.

I embossed a piece of blush colored cardstock for my background using an embossing folder. Then I rubbed Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse all over it. I LOVE how it turned it almost a coral color!

I die cut a piece of pink patterned paper, rubbed Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse and stamped random flowers on it using Versamark Ink. I sprinkled on Golden Follies Embossing Powder and head set. This because my background for my flower arrangement.  I also rubbed on some Embellishment Mousse onto the flowers.

I used Glue Dots to arrange my flowers and petals - aren't they pretty?  All of the layers were adhered with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. To finish off flowers, I used the Small Nuvo Glue Pen and sprinkled on Ballerina Glitter and Burgundy Glitz Glitter.

The sentiment was stamped with Vesamark Ink and embossed with Golden Follies (I think this is my new fave embossing powder!).  I added drops of Antique Rose Crystal Drops as the finishing touch!

I hope you enjoy this card!  The next stop on the hop is the amazingly talented Diane!  You can find her blog HERE.

I'm also entering this card in the following challengs:
Classic Design Team Open Challenge #17

See you next time!

xoxo

So I just fell in LOVE with the "Halloween Cat" stamp set!

It's so adorable!  I went to work :)

First, I ran a piece of black cardstock through my BigShot using a spider web embossing folder.  Then I used my finger tool and rubbed Black Ash & Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse over the embossed panel, creating the fun background.

I stamped the large cat image onto a piece of white cardstock using Versamark Ink and sprinkled on Fleur de Lis Embossing Powder, heat setting from underneath.  Then I fussy cut out the image. I rubbed on some of the Black Ash Embellishment Mousse around the edges.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark Ink and I used Antiquities embossing powder to accent it. Black Ash Mousse was also rubbed on the edges. I made some fun accents using the Ebony Black and Ripened Pumpkin Nuvo Crystal Drops.

All of the layers were adhered using 1/2" Tear-ific Tape and I popped up the image/sentiment using Foam Squares.

I'm so glad you stopped by the blog hop!  I'm the last stop, so if you are just starting here, you can restart from the beginning on Eret's blog.  Be sure to leave some designer love - we love to hear your comments!

Until next time,
