Gecko Galz - June 2024

Hello friends!

Happy June everyone! Ooooo I can feel summer coming on....sooo just in time, let's celebrate summer this month!

We are looking for signs of summer and my feature project is this adorable card.

There are a ton of Challenges for you to participate in and you can even grab FREE products from the blog to get you going! You can find the Challenge Blog HERE.

Our theme in May is Sign of Summer.

There is only one rule, and that is
you need to use at least ONE  product from Gecko Galz!!

It can be one of the free products, stamps, collage images, or digital papers!!  It is up to you!!
The winner will receive a $25 Gecko Galz Shopping Spree!!

There is also a Facebook Challenge group for some other fun challenges - and you can find that HERE.

Onto my projects!!!

I started with this cute 5x7 card!  Isn't it adorable?

I used images from the Fish Camp Collection to make this card. I printed out the entire sheet as a background, then I enlarged the fist image!  I used a few bubble embellishments along with some nautical ribbon and Tonic Drops to finish it off.

My other projects were also some greeting cards!

This card also used the same images from the Fish Camp Collection. I really love the bold colors and watercolor feeling.

These 2 cards were super fun to make! I used the background papers and images from the
Retro Home Front Craft Kit. You will love this entire kit! There are papers, images and a super cute digital stamp kit included.

I hope you enjoyed this month's collection and you will come along and play. Don't forget about all the free images on the blog and the gifts with purchase!

I hope you will check out all the amazing products Gecko Galz has to offer!!   Enjoy and I'll see you soon!

xoxo

Ribbon Candy Ornaments

Hello friends!  Happy December!!! I'm so excited to present my first Rinea project for the month - Ribbon Candy Ornaments!!

I loved ribbon candy as a child! I have many memories of going to my grandma's house and sneaking the ribbon candy. I have recently found it at a local store, so I am excite to share my love with my children!  I loved the idea of making ribbon candy ornaments to bring happy memories to my holiday tree!
They are really simple to make too - all you need is some Rinea Foiled Paper in your fave color (I used my fave - Jade Glossy Foiled Paper and the Jade Starstruck Foiled Paper), hat pins and pretty beads!!

I cut my strips into 1.5" and 2.0" pieces (I did use the 6x12" Crafters Pack for these). All you have to do is push your pin through one end, add a bead, and fold it back over again....repeating until you are out of paper!! I added a stopper bead at the bottom of the hat pin and some thin wire to hang them!

Look at all the different sizes and shapes I made!  There were a couple that I did two strips and alternated the the pieces. So much fun!
So now you have a fun snowy day project to do with your kids!  Plan some snowy day fun with Rinea Foiled Papers!!
See you again soon!

I've been vibing with my October Afternoon stash lately - I know I can't hoard it forever! :)  I took the sketch and flipped it on it's side. I took a few liberties, but I LOVE how it turned out! :)

Disco Party Time!

Hello friends!

IMG_8202

I'm back on the SparkleNSprinkle Blog this week with a fun creation using a Digital-Only release!  I used the Disco Party {DIGI3124m} Stamp Set to make this card.  I printed off the perfectly colored image and the fun sayings, then went to work!

I decided to make a Step-Card as I already had a base ready to go from a previous project! If you don't have this die at home, you can actually purchase some ready to go Step Card Bases here!

To add some pizzazz and pop to the fun image, I grabbed our fun Neon Glitters {GS-10} & Glue Pen {quicky} and went to work!  The technique is simple - apply the glue pen in the areas where you want the glitter and quickly sprinkle on the glitter!  I also did a quick squiggle around my "Let's Boogie" sentiment and added the Electrified! Glitter {G1135}.

To decorate the card, I added some leftover "embellishments" from my previous project using Disco Girlfriends {DIGI774j}. Everything was adhered with Tear-ific Tape {SAT-04}.  I love how well it holds everything in place!  It's an amazing adhesive.

For the final added dimension, I used a fun "pop-up" spring to make the Disco Girl move and shake!  She truly is ready to boogie!

I hope you love this fun card!  The digi images are just perfect for those of us who aren't the greatest at coloring ;)

Until next time,

Jess
