Hello friends!
I'm here with my first SparkleNSprinkle post of 2018! I was excited to create something featuring the Tonic Studios Die called "Perfect Harmony".
SNS Supply List:
I really wanted to make the music notes pop - so I decided to do a Glitter Inlay technique! I grabbed a piece of my 2.5" Tear-ific Tape and added it to a piece of cardstock. I ran my die through the big shot, but only with a "sandwich" layer thick enough to gently cut through the adhesive backing of the Tear-ific Tape!
Next, I carefully removed the pieces of backing from the inside of the die cut using my paper piercing tool. Once I had them removed, I added Waterfall Glitter and burnished well with my finger tool.
I kept going and added Silver Dreams Glitter to the actual musical staff pieces and Waterfall around the outside.
Isn't it a beautiful shimmery color? WOW!
My next step was to create my background for the card. I chose a quilted embossing folder from my stash and ran a piece of yellow cardstock through my Big Shot. I grabbed the Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Aquamarine and sponged onto the background to add some extra texture and dimension. Did you know that if your mousse starts to dry out a bit, you can simply spritz it with some water and it becomes usable again! :)
Greeting Card Sentiment
So to create my sentiment, I grabbed a white tag I had sitting on my desk along with the Wild Rose Stamp Set. I used the flower stamp to add border (stamping randomly) around the edges of my tag and used the "Celebrate" stamp as my sentiment. I used Versamark ink to do my stamping along with Black Detail Embossing Powder (heat setting of course!). Then I used the Green & Pink watercolor pens from the Nuvo Aqua Flow Spring Meadow Set to color the flowers. I added a hint of Pearlescent watercolor around the sentiment and tied a bit of ribbon.
All of the layers were attached using 1/2" Tear-ific Tape. I accented the card with some paper flowers and finished off with the Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bubble Gum Blush.
I hope you love this card - I had a really fun time making it! Be sure to pick up the Perfect Harmony die while supplies last! :)
See you next time!
Jess
