So this card had a bit of a "mixed media" vibe to it!  Unfortunately, my computer crashed and took most of my design pictures with it, so I will try my best to describe what I did! :)

First up, the background!

I took a piece of patterned paper and brushed on the Aquamarine & Peony Pink Embellishment Mousse around the edges. I added 2 strips of Tear-ific Tape along the bottom edge (1/8" and 1/2") and embossed with Rosa Embossing Powder.  Next, I added a layer of Moonstone Glimmer Paste with a spatula.  I just smeared it on like icing a cake! hehe  I set the piece aside and went to work watercoloring my image.

I stamped the cute mermaid onto a piece of white cardstock and watercolored her in.  I took my Raspberry Soda Glitter and adhered it with the Medium Nuvo Glue Pen.  I fussy cut her out and then went back to working on my background.  

I had this sort of "bubble" Cricut cut image laying around, so I thought it would be perfect with this "bubbly" card!  I embossed it using Versamark Ink and Mint Julep Embossing powder, then adhered it to the background with the Medium Nuvo Glue Pen.  I also did the sentiment in Mint Julep Embossing and edged it with the Aquamarine & Peony Pink Embellishment Mousse.

All the layers were adhered with 1/2" Tear-ific Tape and I added some foam squares to pop up the mermaid image. Finally, as an accent, I added some of the Violet Galaxy Crystal Drops!  I LOVE how it all turned out! :)

I'm here today with a new card creation for SparkleNSprinkle featuring the 

Girlfriend Support #839 Stamp Set!

Stampendous Stencil Cathedral Windows [DWLJ808]

My first step was to make my background. I used the Stampendous Stencil Cathedral Windows and taped it down over top of a white piece of cardstock. Using a spatula, I spread over the Pink Flambe Embellishment Mousse until the stencil was completely covered. I carefully removed the stencil and immediately washed it (don't let it sit too long or else you will have to get your scrub brush out!).  I set it aside to dry and started to work on my main image panel.

 

I stamped the main image using Versafine Ink and watercolored (my new fave technique!). Once it dried, I stamped the sentiment using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Flashy Flamingo Embossing Powder. I adhered the white panel to a pink background cardstock using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. To add the lace underneath, I used 1/8" Tear-ific Tape (it works PERFECTLY!). 

To add some extra shine to the background, I rubbed on some of the Mother Of Pearl Embellishment Mousse and adhered it to another piece of pink cardstock with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. A piece of ribbon was added to the background and then I adhered the main image to the background using some foam dimensional squares.  Finally, I added Tonic Jewel Drops in Strawberry Coulis and Rose Water.

I chose to work with the GORGEOUS digital papers from DIGI826-833FS   and the Pansies in Teacup Stamp Set!

Here is my card opened up:

This was an amazingly simple, but gorgeous card!  I started by printing off the Purple and Green splatter papers onto white cardstock (easy right?).  

I took Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Spring Green and applied to to all the edges of my newly printed paper.  I really love the soft green edge it added!

 

I stamped the teacup image onto white cardstock using Versamark Ink and Embossed with Platinum Detail Embossing Powder (EP326).  I colored the teacup and flowers with my TwinTouch Markers! I added a hint of Impulsive Purple Glitter G1069 to the teacup with my small Nuvo Glue Pen and some Sweet Lilac Crystal Drops.

My card base was scored at 2", 4", 8" and 10" (it was 12 inches wide).  I stamped the sentiment using Versamark and embossed with Palm Green Embossing Powder EP372.  All of the layers were adhered using 1/2" Tear-ific Tape.  I tied a bit of green seam binding ribbon around the card to keep it closed.  Finally, I added a heart design (free handed!) with the Sweet Lilac Cyrstal Drops!

To start making this card, I started by stamping the Floral Image around the outside of my cardstock using Versamark Ink. I sprinkled on the Frosted Juniper Embossing Powder and heat set.  I used an Oval Die to cut out the center of the piece to create my "window".

I stamped the adorable Chicky image onto a piece of white cardstock using Versafine Ink.  Using my Glue Pen, I "colored" the chicky with glue and sprinkled on the Canary Flocking - creating a soft, fuzzy chick!  Adorable, right?

Magic Speckle Embossing Powder was added to the eggshell image (again, I used my Glue Pen to add adhesive where I wanted the embossing powder to go - and let it dry slightly so it becomes "tacky").  I didn't have to "stay in the lines" as I was going to cut out the image aftwerwards.  Doesn't it make it look like an actual eggshell?  After all my Flocking and Embossing Powder were added, I fussy cut the images and set them aside.

Next up - coloring my flowers! I stamped my flower arches with Versafine ink and colored them with my Prismacolor Pencils. They were fussy cut out as well. I added a bit of Fairytale Lavender Glitter to the centers using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen.  The sentiment was stamped using Versamark Ink and embossed with Frosted Juniper Spring Willow EP and heat set for some extra embellishment.

Onto the background!  I added a layer of 1/2" Tear-ific Tape around the outside edge of my green cardstock piece. After peeling off the protective backing, I added the Silver Bullion Gilding Flakes.  They are sure fun to work with - just make sure your furnace doesn't kick in while you are using them (my vent is above my desk - you can image what happened! LOL Flakes flying everywhere!).

  

All the layers were adhered together using 1/2" Tear-ific Tape and I popped the Chicky, sentiment and flowers up with Foam Squares for some dimension.  Finally, I added 4 drops of the Key Lime Jewel Drops to each corner.

Digital Delights - Nuts About You!

I'm soooo excited to announce that I have joined the Design Team over at Digital Delights! They have the most ADORABLE digital stamps and I can't wait to share my creations for them!

My first post is for New Release Wednesday.  I was given the Digital Stamp Set & Paper Set called "Nuts About You" to work with.  This is what I created:

I colored this cute little guy with ShinHan TwinTouch Markers.  The flowers came from my stash.  How adorable is that background paper? I just love it!
