Cheapo Dies - Autumn Wheat

Hello crafty people!

Happy Wednesday!  Wednesday is my day to share with you a new Cheapo Dies creation!

Here is what I created for you:

I used the absolutely gorgeous Wheat Die to make this card. I cut some gold foil cardstock with it. I was working on a bunch of motivational cards, and the wheat was the perfect accent!

Scrapy Land Challenge #98

Hello friends!

Welcome to Scrapy Land {Challenge #}!  I'm very excited to share my project with you.

This was a super fun card to make!  I started by making a cool background - you can see how I did it on my YouTube Channel HERE.  Next, I took some Tonic Studios Satin Black Cardstock and die cut it using Memory Box Pennington Rose Blossoms die and the "Congrats" was from Tonic Studios - but you could use the following dies:

Dee's Distinctively Dies - Congrats

Dee's Distinctivley Dies - Congrats

Memory Box Dies - Pennington Rose (simply cut off the stem)
Memory Box Dies - Pennington Rose

I adhered my die cut images using my mini Xyron machine.

Building the backgrounds :)

Die cut flowers all ready on the Xyron tape!

Basic black matted background to make the colors POP!

The theme is always ANYTHING GOES using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.  In addition, we have TWO WINNERS for each challenge.  One will be a random winner and the other is chosen by the Design Team.  Each winner will receive a generous $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.

Scrapy Land carries over 55 brands of dies, so chances are you have a few of the brands in your stash!  You can see all the brands carried under the Products category.

Please link back to this Scrapy Land Challenge and include the link to this challenge on your blog post.  It would also be extremely helpful if you would list the brands of dies used in your project.  (Sometimes we can't tell if an item is a die cut or chipboard.)

We can't wait to see what you create!  It can be any style you like from CAS to mixed media and everything in between.    Just be sure there's a die cut from a brand that Scrapy Land sells!

Good luck!

Scrapy Land Challenge #92

Hello friends!

Welcome to Scrapy Land {Challenge #92}!  I'm very excited to share my handmade card project with you.

I used the following Scrapy Land Dies to create this fun card:

Neat & Tangled Succulent Cover Plate

Memory Box Plush Narrow Succulent

I die cut 3 colors of glitter paper using the Cover Plate die. Then, I layered the flowers piece by piece and glued everything down. I just love how the background turned out!!

I decided a needed a few more flowers, so I used the 2 of the dies from the Narrow Succulent Die to cut them out. I used Brads to layer them and glued them down. I just love how the final card turned out!!

This was a quick, clean and simple card!  I used the Spring Flowers Oval Label die from Precious Marieke and the Mr. Mrs. Die from Frantic Stamper (you can find a similar one HERE) to create this card!  Lots of glitter paper - lots of glitter drops!  Sometimes you just don't need to overthink a card!!

Good luck!

Scrapy Land Challenge #87

Hello friends!

Welcome to Scrapy Land {Challenge #87}!  I'm very excited to share my project with you.

This was a really fun card to make! I only used one set of dies - but I cut out A LOT of circles!  I used the Tutti Designs Nesting Cross Stitch Circles Die set - it's so much fun!

Tutti Designs - Cross Stitch Nesting Circles

I really wanted to show that you can make something really fun with minimal supplies!  I honestly just grabbed the scraps off my desk and went to work! I cut out multiple circles in all the sizes (except for the largest as it was too big for my A2 card size). For the background, I glued down the circles in random order and then ran it through my Big Shot using a quilted texture embossing folder. Next, I layered up the circles, popping some up with foam squares for dimension, and added a simple sentiment from Stamps of Life. A few Nuvo Glitter Drops were added along with Nuvo Jewel Drops for fun accents, and voila!  Fun, bright, springy card! :)

Scrapy Land Challenge #85

Hello friends!

Welcome to Scrapy Land {Challenge #85}!  I'm very excited to share my project with you.

So this card features the Elizabeth Craft Designs Lilac 2 Die to create gorgeous blooms!  I loved how cleanly the die cut!  Yes, it took a million little petals to make these branches, but the effect is oh so gorgeous!  I used my Tonic Studios Floral Crafters to shape all my blooms and leaves. A bit of distress ink was added to the leaves to emphasize their veins and shape. To adhere the layers of petals, I used Nuvo Deluxed Adhesive! To make the centers, I used Nuvo Metallic Crystal Drops.

I just loved how the finished card came together!  A bit of lace and pretty woodgrain paper! Finally some clear "dew drops" were added with Nuvo Crystal Drops! :)

Good luck!

See you soon,

Jess

Scrapy Land Challenge #84

Hello friends!

Welcome to Scrapy Land {Challenge #84}!  I'm very excited to share my very first project!

Since my first order of NEW Scrapy Land dies didn't make it here quite in time, I had to dig into my old stash!  I decided to use the Tonic Studios Bunting Banner Die, a set of Spellbinders Circle Dies and a Memory Box Poppy die!

First I started by using the Bunting Banner Die to cut out some felt.  I just had an urge to work with felt lately, so stay tuned for more projects like that!.

Next, I grabbed my Memory Box die and some Tonic Studios mirrored cardstock to cut the flowers. I also used the brushed mirrored cardstock to cut the Spellbinders circles (you could use these Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackables, which are similar).

P.S. It's hard to take a photo of mirrored cardstock! LOL

Phew! Once all my pieces were cut, I started on assembly.  The banner was connected by some sparkly brads I had kicking around in my collection. I used a paper piercer to poke holes into the felt, then added the brads. I used a butterfly embossing folder to create the background and added a piece of pink lace to the top.  Next, I tied some bakers twine around the flowers and attached them to my banner. The scalloped circles were all stacked together and tucked just underneath the banner. Finally, I added a few gold die cuts for a sentiment (you could use this "Hello" die from Flora & Fauna and "Love" Die from Paper Smooches!). I embellished the card with some glitter sparkles from my stash.

I hope you like my first Scrapy Land creation!  I look forward to sharing a lot more with you over the upcoming months!

Good luck!

See you soon,

Jess
