Hello friends!
The theme is always ANYTHING GOES using any brand of die that
Scrapy Land sells. In addition, we have TWO WINNERS for each challenge. One will be a random winner and the other is chosen by the Design Team. Each winner will receive a generous $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.
Scrapy Land carries over 55 brands of dies, so chances are you have a few of the brands in your stash! You can see all the brands carried under the Products category.
Please link back to this Scrapy Land Challenge and include the link to this challenge on your blog post. It would also be extremely helpful if you would list the brands of dies used in your project. (Sometimes we can't tell if an item is a die cut or chipboard.)
We can't wait to see what you create! It can be any style you like from CAS to mixed media and everything in between. Just be sure there's a die cut from a brand that Scrapy Land sells!
Since my first order of NEW Scrapy Land dies didn't make it here quite in time, I had to dig into my old stash! I decided to use the
Tonic Studios Bunting Banner Die, a set of
Spellbinders Circle Dies and a
Memory Box Poppy die!
First I started by using the Bunting Banner Die to cut out some felt. I just had an urge to work with felt lately, so stay tuned for more projects like that!.
Next, I grabbed my Memory Box die and some Tonic Studios mirrored cardstock to cut the flowers. I also used the brushed mirrored cardstock to cut the Spellbinders circles (you could use these
Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackables, which are similar).
P.S. It's hard to take a photo of mirrored cardstock! LOL
Phew! Once all my pieces were cut, I started on assembly. The banner was connected by some sparkly brads I had kicking around in my collection. I used a paper piercer to poke holes into the felt, then added the brads. I used a butterfly embossing folder to create the background and added a piece of pink lace to the top. Next, I tied some bakers twine around the flowers and attached them to my banner. The scalloped circles were all stacked together and tucked just underneath the banner. Finally, I added a few gold die cuts for a sentiment (you could use this "
Hello" die from Flora & Fauna and
"Love" Die from Paper Smooches!). I embellished the card with some glitter sparkles from my stash.
I hope you like my first Scrapy Land creation! I look forward to sharing a lot more with you over the upcoming months!
Good luck!
See you soon,
Jess
