SparkleNSprinkle Chipboard Fun!

Hello friends!

I'm up on the SparkleNSprinkle Blog this morning with a super fun project I created using Want2Scrap Chipboard!

Best Wishes

So this was a super fun card for me to make!  I started by making the frame.  I popped it out and covered it with Versamark Ink.  Then I sprinkled on the Mesmerized Marbled Embossing Powder  and heat set.  To add a distressed look, I added some of the Nuvo Embellishemnt Mousse in Gold (just sponged it around the frame randomly).  I am just loving this mousse!  It adds such a cool dimension to your projects.

Best Wishes

I then made my card background.  I used the largest stamp out of the Brocade Backgrounds, inked it up with Versamark and stamped it in the center of my card base (I used the Neenah Classic Solar Cardstock folded in half for my base). I simply sprinkled on some Gold Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. Next, I added strips of 1/8" Tear-ific Tape to the edges of the card front.  I removed the backing and sprinkled on the BRAND NEW Hyacinth Microfine Glitter. It's so pretty! I burnished it in well with my finger tool.

Best Wishes

I popped up my frame using some Foam Tape and attached it a bit of an angle for interest. I used about 12" of of the Cream Pull Ribbon to make the bow and attached it with a piece of Tear-ific Tape. I took 3 of the paper roses and position them where I wanted (with a piece of foam tape). To give them some sparkle, I used Brushable Glue to adhere some of the Hyacinth Glitter.

To finish off, I stamped the cute sentiment from the Poppies stamp set using Versamark and added Gold Detail Embossing Powder (heat setting of course!).  I used my Sakura Glue Pen to draw the swirls and sprinkled on more Hyacinth Glitter!  I attached it using foam tape.

Best Wishes

I was so happy with how this card turned out!  Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time,
Jess

SparkleNSprinkle - Mason Jar by Want2Scrap

Hello friends!

I'm back again with a fun post for SparkleNSprinkle using the amazing Want2Scrap Chipboard!!

I chose to work with the Mason Jar Chipboard.

Supply List:
Rapture Blue Glitter {G1078} (discontinued - try Blue Jewel {G1113})

To make this card, I started by making my chipboard piece.  I covered the mason jar in Versamark Ink, then sprinkled on the Super Thick Silver Embossing Powder (heat setting from underneath).  While the Embossing Powder was still warm, I sprinkled on some Rapture Blue Glitter about halfway down, then added heat to embed the glitter into the embossing powder.  I added some Magic Speckle to the bottom of the jar, then heat set again.  Finally, I covered the entire Jar with Super Thick Clear Embossing Powder to finish off the jar with a glossy look (kind of like glass & water).

I stamped the Flowers on white cardstock with Memento Black ink and colored with markers.  I added some Gold Dust Glitter to the center of each flower using the Quicky Glue Pen. I fussy cut the entire image out and adhered to the jar using some glue dots. I added some Brushable Glue overtop of the ends and sprinkled on some of the Rapture Blue glitter for a fun effect.

I created a card base from Kraft paper and layered on some brown patterned paper & some really neat Burlap paper. I stamped the sentiment  onto a tag using Versamark and sprinkled on Black Detail Embossing Powder (heat setting of course!).  I attached the Mason Jar to the card using Tear-ific Tape and then popped on the sentiment tag with foam squares.

To finish off the card, I added a strip of 1/4" Tear-ific Tape across the bottom and added Gold Dust Glitter, burnishing well.  Then I added 3 Le Creme Pearls and voila!

I hope you enjoy this card and now go and pick up some amazing Want2Scrap products to play with!

Until next time,

Jess

SparkleNSprinkle - April Reveal!

Welcome to Sparkle N Sprinkle's
April 1 New Reveal Blog Hop!

This month the Designers were asked to create projects with Want 2 Scrap chipboard products.  If you are able to visit any of the shows that SNS is participating in this year, you will notice SNS now has a larger booth.  Margaret and crew are sharing this new, larger space with Want 2 Scrap.

We wanted to showcase various projects using both SNS products and W2S products together.  Hopefully, you'll see some new uses of these products that you may not have thought of before.  Chipboard can be used for more than scrapbook layouts or mini albums :-).  So sit back, enjoy the Hop and get ready to have those creative juices flowing!

Be sure to visit the SNS Blog all month long for more projects and ideas that incorporate your favorite glitters, embossing powders, and more with the Want 2 Scrap chipboard.

On April 3rd, ONE GRAND PRIZE WINNER will be selected from the comments left on the Designers' blogs listed below. Please leave a comment with each Designer in order to be eligible for the Grand Prize.  You never know who the Mystery Designer will be that has the winning comment.

The Grand Prize Winner, which will be announced on the SNS Facebook page and on the SNS Blog on April 4, will receive a $20 gift certificate to go shopping at the SNS Shoppe.

The Blog Hop order this month is:

Wonder who the Mystery Host will be this month????

The Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge also begins today.  There are lots of prizes and recognition badges.  Come check out how you can become a SNS Featured Artist as well.  The theme is always Anything Goes using Loose Glitter, Embossing Powder, and/or Flock.

The Design Team at SparkleNSprinkle are doing the April Reveal a little differently this month - it's all about Want2Scrap products!  Chipboard, stencils, bling....oh ya!  They have some really fun new products in the shop from this amazing company. I'm going to share with you how I used some of them!

Supply List:

I made this amazing "brick" background using the Brick Stencil and Embossing Paste. To make the background, I set my Brick Stencil overtop of the piece of cardstock and secured with Removable Tape.  I applied my Embossing Paste with a palette knife, being careful not to get the paste underneath the stencil. I then removed the stencil (placing in a dish of water immediately to clean) and set the background aside to dry. After drying (overnight was enough for this piece!), I took a sponge and added some light brown and red ink to "distress" the bricks. I distressed the edges using a distressing tool and poked a hole using an oval punch (so my sentiment could peek out!).

To make the chipboard element, I covered the piece with Versamark Ink and sprinkled on my Checkers Enamel Embossing Powder.  As this is a super thick powder, I heat set from underneath the piece (otherwise all the powder would just fly away!).  I did a second coat of Embossing powder to fully cover the Chipboard Piece.  So pretty!

To finish the card, I stamped my sentiment from Donna's Stylin' Sayings in Versamark on a piece of white Cardstock.  I covered it with Super Thick Red Embossing Powder and heat set from underneath.  I stamped the "speckles" from the stamp set with Versamark and used Gold Detail Embossing powder to finish off the sentiment.  I lined up my sentiment piece underneath the brick background and used some Brushable Glue to adhere it from the under side.  I then attached the entire background to a red pre-folded card base using Tear-ific Tape.

To finish off the card, I attached my Chipboard piece using Foam Squares and used the Nuvo Glitter Drops in Ruby Slippers to add some embellishment to the corners.  I set the card aside to dry for about 24 hours.  I added some red ink to the distressed edges and called it finished! :)

I'm the last stop on the hop, so if you missed the beginning, you can find Eret HERE.  Thanks for joining us this week and I hope you pick up some of the AMAZING Want2Scrap products this month!
