SparkleNSprinkle - Thank You with Enamels

Good morning!

I am back this week as a Guest Designer over at SparkleNSprinkle (my proper week - oops!) with a new card I made using the amazing Enamel Embossing Powders.

This card was actually very simple to create, but I think it gave AMAZING results!

It was really easy to make!  

Here is my Supply List:

Checkers Enameled Embossing Powder {EP466}

Stickum Powder {EP300}

Super Thick White Embossing Powder {EP355}

Christmas Fire Embossing Powder {EP285}

Super Thick Red Embossing Powder {EP460}

2.5 Inch Tear-ific Tape {SAT-11}

1/2 Inch Tear-ific Tape {SAT-04}

Foam Squares

Chipboard Stars

Red, Black & White Cardstock

Foil Die Cut

First, I took a piece of 2.5 inch Tearific Tape and put it across the bottom of my Black Cardstock Panel.  I removed the backing and sprinkled on the Checkers Enameled Embossing Powder, then heat set from underneath the cardstock.  I just love the effect it has!

Next, I again took the Checkers Embossing Powder and sprinkled it randomly above the top of the panel I just created, making sort of a spray/explosion look!  I heat set from under the cardstock once again.  Then, I randomly sprinkled some Super Thick White Embossing Powder overtop in the same spray pattern and heat set (from underneath).  Doesn't it look neat?

To make the chipboard stars, I inked them up with Versamark Ink, then sprinkled on the Stickum Powder and heat set to create a sticky surface. Next, I sprinkled on  Super Thick Red Embossing Powder to two of the stars & Christmas Fire Embossing Powder to the third and heat set.  I did 2 coats of the Super Thick Red to make them really shiny!

To finish the card, I attached all the panels together with 1/2" Tearific Tape and used Foam squares to adhere the stars and die cut (from my stash - not sure of the brand).  I just love how this card turned out, don't you?  Simple and beautiful!

Creative Corner Challenges - Happy Birthday!

SparkleNSprinkle - Chicken Run

Hello friends!

I am back today with a new card a made for SparkleNSprinkle featuring the new release stampset, "Chicken Run" (00-761P5).  It's such a cute stamp with lots of great sayings - it will be perfect for some funny scrapbook moments too!

So....here`s how I made this card!  First, I took a strip of 2 1/2" Tear-ific Tape (SAT11) and attached it across the center of the doily paper (paper is from October Afternoon Farm House collection!).  Then, I sprinkled on Sparkle Embossing Powder (EP107) and heat set.  It's hard to see in the pictures, but it gave the background a bit of texture and sparkle!.  Then I pulled out the trusty sewing machine and stitched around the edges.  The Banner is also from October Afternoon - you simply sew right across the top of the banner and pop all the pieces out.  Super cute!

To make the chickens, I stamped the image in Versamark Ink (VM-001) and sprinkled on our NEWEST Enamel Embossing powder in Checkers (EP466).  I heat set from underneath the paper and it gives it such a nice, glossy finish!  Love it!  To accent the grass underneath, I took my Quicky Glue Pen (quicky) and then sprinkled on some Glistening Emerald SparkleNSoft (SS102) to give it a soft, shimmery finish. I fussy cut out the image and adhered to my background with pop-up Foam Sqaures (01615). 

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark (VM-001) and used Black Detail Emobssing Powder (EP171) to make it stand out. I punched out the sentiment and adhered to the card with pop-up Foam Squares.

Of course, I always use my Static Free Bag (99512) before I add embossing powder to prevent flyaways and Embossing Powder sticking where I don't want it!
