SparkleNSprinkle - Foxy Missing you

Hello friends!

I have another sweet SparkleNSprinkle Card to share with you today, once again featuring the "Hello Foxy" Stamp Set!  Remember how I used foxes last time? Well, I used another little guy to create this card.

SNS Supply List

Mirror Cardstock - Chrome Silver 9452e
Aqua Flow 2-Pack Water Brush 889n
Checkers Super Thick Embossing Powder EP466
Nuvo Crystal Drops - Ivory Seashell 675N
Tonic Dies - Mixed Edge Ovals 1456e
Tonic Studios Idyllics Die & Embossing Folder Set - Filigree Affections 1516e

Let's get crafting!

I started by watercoloring my stamped image. I stamped the fox with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder. I used the Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens to water color. I love to create my own palette using my clear blocks! I simply color a little bit of the pen onto the block and then use an regular Aqua Flow Water Brush to paint and blend!  I find I get better control and blending of colors this way.

Once my fox was all painted, I added Twinkling Clouds Flocking using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive to make his white "fur". :)

(here you can see the sparkle on his fur better!)

Let's get talking about that background!  I just fell in love with the English Lace Craft Perfect Paper - it's just sooo pretty! I wanted to show it off , so I just cut a background piece of it and left it pretty much plain!

Next, I decided I wanted to create a sort of "brick wall" for the foxy to be sitting in front of, all forlorn. I used a piece of metallic silver paper I had in my stash, but the Nuvo Chrome Silver Mirror Cardstock would have been perfect for this! I cut a piece and ran it through my Big Shot using a "brick pattern" embossing folder.

Next, I inked the entire surface with Versamark Ink and sprinkled on Checkers Super Thick Embossing Powder (don't mind the old label with the wrong name in the pic ;). I heat set it from beneath while holding it with tweezers. You want to heat set the super thick powders from the bottom to avoid them flying all over the place!  Isn't it pretty?

Next up, I created the oval behind the little fox. I used the same mirror foil paper and die cut one out using the Tonic Studios Mixed Edge Oval Die Set. I also ran it through the Big Shot using the Filigree Affections Embossing Folder.

I adhered it to the background using Tear-ific Tape! :)  All assembly of layers used the always amazing Tear-ific Tape - it's just the BEST!!!

Finally, I stamped my sentiment on a piece of white cardstock and embossed with Copper Peddler Embossing Powder. I really am digging the copper this month!!

This is a standard A2 sized card - so assembly was a snap!  All the layers were adhered with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. I tied a bit of string around the sentiment and added a metal bow paper clip for some extra wow factor. Finally, Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ivory Seashell were delicately applied to the lace background, corners and "brick" wall.

I sure enjoyed sharing my tutorial with you today and I hope you learned something. I'll be back again soon with more SNS goodness to share!

See you soon!

SparkleNSprinkle - The Fish Whisperer

Hello friends!

I'm so excited to be back today with another fun SparkleNSprinkle card!  This card reminds my of my brother-in-law! In fact, I think I'm going to have to make him one. He is the ultimate fisherman and lives for both ice-fishing and summer fishing!  hmm...that get's me thinking...I may just have to put "Gus" into some snow scenes for my "ice-Fish Whisperer". What do you think? Stay tuned!

Onto the card!  First up, as always, my SNS supply list!

Supply List:

OTHER:
Forest Green Cardstock
Light Green Cardstock
White Cardstock
Lawn Fawn Grass Die
Sizzix Circle Dies

Now, this card was pretty simple to create, but I think masculine cards should be fairly simple - not frilly!  Well, my masculine cards anyways! ;)  I started with my "Gus" - that is the Fish Whisperer's name - isn't he cute?  I love this Bugaboo stamp. I stamped him onto white cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed using Black Detail Embossing Powder.  I colored him using various Tonic Nuvo Glitter Markers - these are so much fun to use!

Next up, grass creation!  Now, I made the grass at the same time as for my last week's card, so these pics will be the same!  I covered the paper with Versamark Ink, then sprinkled on my Stickum Powder.  Once it was heat set and sticky, I added my Grassy Green flocking and burnished in with my finger tool.  Then I cut out the "grass" using my Lawn Fawn Grass Die!  I think it's great when you can make multiple card "parts" from one technique step! :)

The sentiment was stamped onto some scrap white cardstock using Versamark Ink and embossed with Forest Green Embossing Powder. I cut out the sentiment using my Sizzix Circle Dies and cut some matching circles using my other cardstock colors. I adhered the layers using 1/2'" Tear-ific Tape. To add a bit more flair, I rolled the edge of the sentiment piece through my Versamark Ink to ink up the edges, then added more Forest Green Embossing Powder. This gave me a frame!

All layers were adhered together with my 1/2" Tear-ific Tape. Finally, I used the Bottle Green Metallic Crystal Drops to finish framing the sentiment and embellish the card!

I'm entering this card in the Bugaboo Challenge! :)

I hope you enjoyed my Fish Whisperer card!  Have a great weekend!

SparkleNSprinkle - Farm Fresh Cows

Hello friends!

We are heading back to the farm this week with SparkleNSprinkle!  I am still showcasing these versatile farm sets.  I was inspired by sunsets, so that is how this idea came to fruition.  Today' card features the Farm Fresh - Cows Stamp Set. First, as always, my SparkleNSprinkle supply list:

Supply List (SNS):

Let's get creative!

First things first, I stamped my cow image onto a piece of white cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder (the second set of cows in the photo was embossed with Blackened Bronze Embossing Powder and I will include photos of the card at the end of this post!).  Using the Tonic Studios Aqua Flow Pens, I did some light watercoloring, building the colors until I created the sunny background.  I used a clear acrylic block as my watercolor palette and a refillable Aqua Pen to pick up the color.

Set that aside to dry and went to work on my background.  Using the Beautiful Bokeh Stencil overtop of a piece of white cardstock, I carefully added my Moonstone Glimmer Paste. I just love this stencil!  You are going to see a lot of it this month ;)  The Glimmer Paste is a wonderful Mixed Media medium - you should really give it a try!

While that dried, it was onto my "grass". I used a Lawn Fawn grass diecut to create this embellishment. First, I covered a strip of light green cardstock with Versamark Ink, then heat embossed with Stickum Powder. While it was sticky, I added my Grassy Green Flocking and burnished it in. I slightly reheated the Stickum Powder to ensure a good hold. Then, I ran the paper through my Big Shot using the Lawn Fawn Grass Die. Cute trick, huh?

Using the Tonic Mixed Edge Oval Dies, I die cut out an oval from the piece of white cardstock with the Glimmer Paste on it. This became my "window" over the cow panel.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and embossed with Forest Green Embossing Powder. I popped it up with Foam Sqaures and tied a piece of gold & white twine around the edge.

Finally, it was time to assemble! I used 1/4" Tear-ific Tape to hold all the layers together. The "grass" was tucked in behind my window and the oval centered over the cows.

Here is a second card I created using this same technique:

I hope you enjoy this card and my tricks to go along in creating it!

See ya again soon!

Hello!
Well, I have to say that this reveal card came together VERY quickly, all thanks to the gorgeous pre-colored DIGITAL STAMP!  Yes, they can make us "non-colorers" very happy!  I am still experimenting with markers and coloring, so when I can get a digi that's already colored, it makes me sigh relief!

First, let's start with the full supply list from SparkleNSprinkle:
Stella-Happy Meds 796  (digi version DIGI796)

So, as I said, this card is a quick one!  Sometimes we just NEED a card to come together quickly because we don't have hours to spend on it. Here's how I made it.

First, I printed off the gorgeously colored Stella-Happy Meds DIGI796 image onto white cardstock.   I trimmed it out and then accented various areas.  I used Elephant Gray Flocking on her hair (how fun is that?!) and Fire Engine Red Glitter on some of the "meds".  I used the Quicky Glue Pen to adhere both of the products - seriously, this is a MUST HAVE tool in your glitter tool box!

To make the glittery frame, I took my 1/2" Tear-ific Tape and adhered it around the edge of my cardstock.  I removed the protective backing and sprinkled on the Inference Gold Glitter, burnishing well with my finger tool.

Finally, I adhered my first layers of cardstock using 1/2" Tear-ific Tape and the main image was popped up using Foam Squares for added dimension.

See how fast that came together?  LOVE IT!  Simple and effective.  I hope you enjoy it too! Cardmaking is supposed to be enjoyable!  The next stop on our blog hop is the UBER-talented ERET and you can find her blog HERE.

Until next time friends,

Jess

Cackle On!

Hi there!

I am so excited to be a Guest Designer over at the SparkleNSprinkle Blog for the next 3 months.  Thanks for stopping by to check out what I created using all the amazing SparkleNSprinkle products.

I am sure having fun playing with the "Cackle On" stampset this month! It's so darn cute!

Here is the list of SparkleNSprinkle supplies I used to make this card:

Here is how I made the card. First, I stamped the witch randomly with Versamark Ink on a 4x5.25" piece of black cardstock.  Next, I took my Pumpkin Orange PearlEX Powder, lightly sprinkled it over the stamped witches using a soft brush and gently rubbed into the ink to give it a shiny orange background.

Artwork by: Jess Kaiser

I cut a small strip (roughly 1x5") of my October Afternoon patterned paper (it's from their Witch Hazel line!).  I wanted to jazz up the pumpkins that were already their and I had a small bag of Paprika Flocking sitting on my desk - PERFECT! I grabbed my Sakura Quickie Glue pen, colored in the pumpkins where I wanted the flock to adhere and pressed in the Paprika Flocking!  Aren't they cute and fuzzy?  I adhered the paper strip to my witch background with Tear-ific Tape.

Now, I continued on to the rest of my stamping!  I stamped both the sentiment & the witch image  from Cackle On onto my white cardstock using Versamark Ink, sprinkled Black Detail Embossing Powder over the images and heat set with my heat tool.  I fussy cut out the witch and used a circle punch to cut out the sentiment.  I adhered these to my card using Foam Squares. Finally, I cut my card base from Hyacinth Cardstock (standard A2 Card with a side fold) and used Tear-ific Tape to attach my card front.

I think it turned out super cute, don't you?  Thanks for stopping by and remember to check out the store for all these amazing supplies and more!  Until next time, happy crafting!
