Artsystamper Mermaid Series - Part 1

Hello friends!

Where did July go?? WOW!  I hope you are squeezing in lots of summer fun! My family and I sure are. I'll be sad to see the summer go....but we still have one more beautiful month to go before school starts.

I have a new series of 4 cards for the Artystamper design team to share with you over the next 2 months. I really love this Mermaid Wishes stamp set. I couldn't stop playing with it!  SO...I ended up with 4 cards. I will be sharing them with you over the next couple weeks.

Here is the first card:

I used a sentiment from Koi Pond set. I added some shiny reflective background papers and Nuvo Crystal Drops to decorate. LOVE how this turned out :)

I hope you will check out the shop to grab this beautiful set. I look forward to sharing more cards with you every other Tuesday!

See you soon!

Heir of God Bible Journaling with Joy Clair

Hello friends!

I have a bible journal page to share with you featuring a new release stamp set from Joy Clair called "Heir of God". This is really a versatile set, as the castle can totally be used in non-Color By Faith situations too (I thought of a princess castle as soon as I saw it!).

Heir of God | Bible Journaling stamp set

I decided to do a simple bible Journal page with it. I started by turning by bible to Romans and started reading the word. Then I just let the creativity flow from there!  I grabbed some really old Stampin' Up! Pastels and played with them - it felt good to dive into an older stash of supplies!

Once I had things stamped and colored, I wanted to add texture - and there is nothing better than...texture paste and stencils!

I sprinkled on some Nuvo Shimmer Powders for more shimmer and shine - and it almost ended up looking like mountains or rocks beside my castle! Love it!  I also added some sparkly gems to my crown.

I hope you will take some time to read your bible today and add a little extra to it!  I find that by having a bible for journaling, the passages really stick with me and it sinks in just a little deeper - and who doesn't love that?

Thanks for allowing me to share my "Color By Faith" journey with you! I am sure learning and growing in faith right along side of you.

Have a wonderful day and I hope to "see" you again soon.

xoxo

Elegant Sympathy Card with Rinea

Hello friends!

I needed to replenish my sympathy cards, and I really wanted to show that you can use Rinea foiled paper in any situation, so I set about creating an elegant Sympathy Card.

Here are the supplies that you will need to create this elegant card:

- Rinea Foiled Paper: Mocha/Gold Glossy
- Rinea Foiled Pape: Starstruck Mocha
- Close to My Heart Cardstock: Sapphire & White
- Close to My Heart Ink: Sapphire
- Cheeky Studio Ephemera
- Foam Squares
- Embossing Folder
- Adhesive of choice (I use Scotch ATG)
- Sympathy Stamp

To start with, I used an embossing folder to add some pattern and texture to a piece of Mocha/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper. I adhered it to a white mat background, then to a piece of the dark blue background. Using a piece of the Mocha Starstruck Foiled Paper, I repeated the same steps, but did not use the embossing folder this time.  The ephemera was added as desired and sentiment stamped. I liked the sentiment cut at an angle for extra interest.

I used foam squares to pop up the sentiment and some of the ephemera to add depth.  Finally, the entire card panel was added to a white card base. It really came together very nicely I think!

I hope you enjoyed this card. I was very happy how it turned out and I think it was the right amount of shine for an encouraging sympathy card.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you again soon.

Baby Shark...Doo Doo Doo

Hello friends!

Now that I have that song stuck in your head....hahahah.....I have a super cute card for you today for Joy Clair stamps!  I'm using the new release stamp set called "Baby Shark" - and you are just going to LOVE this ADORABLE set!

Baby Shark Clear Stamps

Here is the adorable handmade card I created:

I used my ShinHan TwinTouch markers to color up the sweet little shark. To make my watery background, I did a simple ink smear straight to paper and stamped the waves on top, trimming away the excess. I found some super adorable sun and fishy background papers in my stash - perfect for this card.  Did you check out all the fun sentiments you get with this set? SOOO many combos!!  I know you will love it.

Sometimes you try different color combos - and they don't really work! LOL

Thanks for stopping by!

See you again next time.
