Gecko Galz - November 2024

Hello November!

With Thanksgiving over now (I live in Canada and we celebrate in October!), my focus shifts to all things Christmas!!

I'm here today with your monthly dose of Gecko Galz inspiration!!!

Up first, a little information about Gecko Galz!

There are a ton of Challenges for you to participate in and you can even grab FREE products from the blog to get you going! You can find the Challenge Blog HERE.

Our theme in November is "Christmas Magic".

There is only one rule, and that is you need to use at least ONE  product from Gecko Galz!!

It can be one of the free products, stamps, collage images, or digital papers!!  It is up to you!!

The winner will receive a $25 Gecko Galz Shopping Spree!!

There is also a Facebook Challenge group for some other fun challenges - and you can find that HERE.

Onto my projects!!!

I of course went with primarily Christmas for this month's collection,

This cute Reindeer Ornament used the "Little Reindeers". I used a green string light from the dollar store to add some glow!  The wheat was handpicked from a local field and spray painted with gold paint. I love how it turned out! I fussy cut the deer to nestle them in the white "snow" that I fashioned out of some loose batting.

The greeting came from "Christmas Signs & Banners".

Next up, a sweet little gift box using the "Retro Christmas Collage Sheet".

Now, a set of 3 notecards featuring "Little Reindeers".

Lastly, I created a few gift tags!  I used images from "Christmas Scraps", "Little Reindeers" and "Christmas Signs & Banners".

I hope you enjoyed this month's collection and you will come along and play. Don't forget about all the free images on the blog and the gifts with purchase!

I hope you will check out all the amazing products Gecko Galz has to offer!!   Enjoy and I'll see you soon!

Merry ChristMOOSE with Joy Clair

Hello friends!

I hope you have all your Christmas shopping and creating finished (or at least in full swing!). I know I'm a last minute shopper/prepper - so I'm still going strong! haha

If you are like me and still need some inspiration to create those cards, I have one more cute card idea using the Merry ChristMOOSE stamp set from Joy Clair!  Take a peek at how CUTE this set is:

I started by stamping the moose onto a piece of white Neenah cardstock and coloring with my Nuvo Maker pens. He's just so darn cute!  Then I cut out the image leaving a bit of a white border.

I had some Kaisercraft paper in my stash that was PERFECT with the pine trees, but still whimsical feeling along with some woodgrain paper, so I used that as my background.

Look how happy this guy is! LOVE it!  I used some really cool twines I had in my stash (thank you Dollar Tree!) and added the "Merry ChristMOOSE" sentiment, stamped in red.

Finally, I haven't played with Nuvo Crystal Drops in a while, so I added a few of those just to add a little sparkle. Every Christmas card needs some sparkle!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I wish you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS with a happy, healthy and CREATIVE New Year!

xoxo

Pink Christmas Fun with Joy Clair & Imagine

Hello friends!

I'm continuing with my "pink Christmas" trend for our Joy Clair collab with Imagine Crafts! For this card I'm using the "Merry Christmoose" Stamp Set. I focused on the tree image for this particular card. It's just so pretty!

IMG_4857

I used the Mboss Embossing Powder in Rose Gold once again to emboss the tree and I used Sheer Shimmer in Dauber Top Sparkle and Spritzer in Frost, Gold and Rose Gold along with Fireworks Spray in Angel Pink! I love how easy the products were to layer and not completely end up with a mess! They dry quickly too!  It's hard to photograph all the shimmer - but this card is really sparkly and pretty! The Frost Sheer Shimmer really looked pretty on the tree.

Thanks for stopping by today!

See you soon!

Scrapy Land Challenge #103

Hello friends!

Welcome to Scrapy Land {Challenge #103}!  I'm very excited to share my project with you.  For this project, I used a Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia Die to create my flowers!  You could use the Impression Obsession Poinsettia Set LARGE to create the same flowers.

Impression Obsession Dies - Poinsettia Set Large

Here are a few more close ups of my handmade card:

I used a few different paper packs - CuteNCrafty Mommy Shabby Christmas Digi Paper, Bo Bunny's "Christmas in the Village" and Prima's "Santa Baby".  Of course I had to add a little sparkle to the flowers and some delicate lace trim.

A Little About our Challenge

The theme is always ANYTHING GOES using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.  In addition, we have TWO WINNERS for each challenge.  One will be a random winner and the other is chosen by the Design Team.  Each winner will receive a generous $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.

Scrapy Land carries over 55 brands of dies, so chances are you have a few of the brands in your stash!  You can see all the brands carried under the Products category.

Please link back to this Scrapy Land Challenge and include the link to this challenge on your blog post.  It would also be extremely helpful if you would list the brands of dies used in your project.  (Sometimes we can't tell if an item is a die cut or chipboard.)

We can't wait to see what you create!  It can be any style you like from CAS to mixed media and everything in between.    Just be sure there's a die cut from a brand that Scrapy Land sells!

Good luck!

See you soon!

Cheapo Dies - Branches & Gingerbread Men

Hello crafty friends!

For today's card, I am showcasing a Cheapo Dies product! I used the Branches Die.  I thought this one was more geared towards fall cards, but I was determined to create something CHRISTMAS!

Cheapo Dies - Branches

Here is Handmade Card I created for you today:

I had this cute little Lawn Fawn stamp set in my stash that I have not had a chance to use yet, so I thought I would make little gingerbread men like ornaments in the branches!!!  One fell off and broke his little cookie foot off! Hence, the oh, snap! haha - I think it turned out ok!!!

I hope you enjoy this card!  The season is passing quickly - take time to enjoy it!!! Give the gift of handmade this year :)

Quilted Present with Rinea

Hello crafty friends!

For my first Rinea Project  of the month, I decided to make a card!
For this project, I used the Jolly Variety Pack.   I used a die from Stampin' Up! (now retired - Quilted Christmas) to make my cuts and the matching stamp set.  I was so excited to play with the Staz-On Inks!  This was a fun collaboration with Imagine Crafts!  I played with the  Emerald City, Jet Black and Spiced Chai for the inking on this project.

I used a piece of the Glossy Ruby/Gold and embossed with a ribbed knit style embossing folder. I just love how easily the foiled paper dry embosses - AND it holds its shape!  Perfect for Christmas crafting!

For the main part of the quilted present design, I used the Starstruck Emerald, Glossy Emerald/Gold and Starstruck Ruby from the Jolly Variety Pack. Each piece was die cut and then I pieced it all together!  I think it turned out adorable!!  A perfect sentiment with some "stitching" added on finished the card.

For the little bow, I used the Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper. I simply cut a scrap piece and rolled the tiny little strips down into a present bow!

Supply List:
- Jolly Foiled Paper Variety Pack
- Patterned Paper
- Sizzix Big Shot & Magnetic Platform
- Stampin' Up! Dies (Quilted Christmas)
- Embossing Folder
Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive
- Scissors
- Imagine StazOn Inks (Emerald City, Jet Black, Spiced Chai)
- StazOn Ink Remover
- paper trimmer
- ATG Tape

See you next time!
