Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder leaving a girl baby with only one X chromosome, instead of two. These children (and adults) contend with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. Occurring once in every 2,500 female births worldwide, it is more common for pregnancies to not survive full term. That is why TS live births are considered miracles. It’s truly a unique situation!

Mardi Gras Celebrations with Joy Clair Stamps!

Hey crafty friends!

Today at Joy Clair Stamps we are celebrating Mardi Gras!  The entire design team is featuring different creations using the "Unashamed" Stamp Set (which is one of our newest releases!).  Welcome to our Blog Hop!

There are so many different creative things you can do with this stamp set! I chose to create a banner.

Here is what I created:

I used traditional Mardi Gras colors to make my banner!  I stamped both of the masks and fussy cut them out. I stamped a whole bunch of the jewel images and covered them with Nuvo Jewel Drops - letting dry and then cutting out.  To make "beads" I simply stamped the image multiple times in the background and covered again with Jewel Drops and Crystal Drops I accented the masks with some Gold Crystal Drops. Such a fun project!!!

Joy Clair Around the World Cardmaking Day - Challenge #3 - Ink Smooshing

Hi Crafty Friends!

I'm joining the gang over at Joy Clair Stamps to help celebrate World Cardmaking Day!  This is Challenge #3!  Of course I had to play with the "Coffee Lovers" Stamp Set - I think it's one of my faves!

I created a fun card for you to showcase the "Ink Smooshing "technique! It's a real simple technique - exactly how it sounds!  I inked up my Tonic Glass Mat, spritzed with water and transferred the ink to my watercolor paper using a scrap piece of clear acetate.  You could even just lay your watercolor paper over top of the ink too and sop up all that glorious ink!  I went for a "spilled cup of coffee" background look - how do you think I did?  Want to know how I created my "coffee rings"? I grabbed one of my glitter jars, dipped the bottom of it into ink and used it as a stamp! :D
