Creative Knockouts Challenge #343 - Anything Goes

Hello crafty friends!

It's time for a new challenge over at Creative Knockouts Challenge #343. Our theme this week is "Anything Goes” and our sponsor is the amazing “Fabrika Fantasy". I actually decided to make two cards because I was having fun!  I'm using the "Fairy-Tale Unicorn" stamp this week. So classic! Everyone needs a cute unicorn stamp, right?

I used the image and resized it a bunch of times to create a background paper and then printed a full sized unicorn for the focal image! So cute!  I wanted fun and cheerful during this time of social distancing. It sure is a crazy world right now, isn't it?

Here is what I created:

I hope to see you at the challenge! :)

Until next time,

Jess

Sweet Baby Unicorn with SNS

Hello friends!!

It's time for a fun new month at SparkleNSprinkle!  My first card this month features the super cute Sweet Baby Unicorn Stamp Set!

SNS Supply List:

Let's get creating!

Step 1 - Create your focal image!

I started by coloring some random backgrounds onto watercolor paper using Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens. You can see how I did this on my YouTube Channel HERE.  I stamped the sweet little baby unicorn using Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Black Detail Embossing Powder,

After I had it embossed, I fussy cut out the unicorn.

Step 2 - Work on your BACKGROUND

I decided to do the LACE TECHNIQUE for my background!  For this technique, you need a piece of Sticker Paper, a piece of your favorite lace and 2 colors of glitter (I like to use Mircrofine Glitter for this technique). Remove the protective backing from your sticker paper and lay your lace over top. I like to use my darker Glitter color first, then my lighter color. Sprinkle on your Candy Pink Microfine Glitter and burnish in well with your finger tool. Tap off your excess glitter and gently pull back your lace. Sprinkle on your second glitter color (I used Butterscotch Glitter  here for this card) and gently burnish it in!  You will see you have now transferred your lace design to your paper!

Step 3 - Die Cuts!

I decided I wanted something in behind my unicorn, so I grabbed my Tonic StudiosFern Garland Die 1282e and die cut a piece of yellow cardstock. I didn't want the wreath to be open, so I did a second die cut on a piece of Sticker Paper covered with Carnation Glitter. I used the CENTER CUT of the wreath to insert into my original yellow piece (now I have a glittery wreath to use on my next project!)...so don't forget that your "scrap" die cut pieces can also be used!

Step 4 - Put It ALL Together and Embellish!

To embellish my unicorn, I added some Carnation and Unicorn Glitters to her mane and tail using a Sakura Glue Pen.  I also used some Dimensional Glue to added Snow White Flocking to her cloud.

I adhered all my layers with 1/2" Tear-Ific Tape and used some dimensional squares to pop up the unicorn.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark Ink and embossed with Rosa Embossing Powder. A bit of pink grosgrain ribbon was added too. Finally, I added some of the Enchanted Sequin Mix to the unicorn and card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive

Unicorn Party

Hello crafty friends!

I'm so excited to share with you our JULY Reveal Stamp sets with SparkleNSprinkle!  There are 6 new sets - something for everyone!  I was over the moon excited to see UNICORNS!!!!  SO...that will be the first card I share with you today!  This card uses the new release stamp set called "Unicorn Party:.  SOO cute!  I actually used the DIGI version of this set!

Here is my SNS Supply List:
Versamark Ink VM001

This card actually comes together very easily!  First, I printed off my digital image and trimmed down to size.  I simply add the image into WORD and enlarge to the size I would like, then print. It really is that easy to work with digis!  I added a bunch of random "blobs" of color from my Aqua Flow pens to an acrylic block in a random pattern. Then, I placed my printed off digi upside down into the ink - making the random colored background!

It dries quite quickly, but before I set it aside to work on the background, I sprayed with both my Nebula Blue and Turkish Rose Mica Mists.

To make the background, I used Versamark Ink and my Stampendous Crackle Rubber stamp. I sprinkled on Blue Silver Embossing Powder and heat set. I layered both the background and focal image onto some purple cardstock using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. My sentiment came from the Zendoodle Rainbow Stamp Set, which I stamped with Versamark and embossed with Venus Violet Embossing Powder.

Finally, the fishing touches came from Nuvo Glitter Accents in both Aztec Gold and Silver Jubilee.

I really love how this card turned out - I can see using this background coloring technique over and over!  I hope you have a fabulous weekend!  See you again soon.
