Royally Purple Roses

Hello friends!

I am SOOO excited to share another fun SparkleNSprinkle June Reveal project with you today!  This handmade card just screams "royal" to me - what is a more classic color combo than purple and gold?

Here is my SNS Supply List:

This card has a fun fold feature (try saying that 10 times fast! LOL). Want to know the trick? Fold your A2 Card base the traditional way (in half). I scored the front of the card in the middle and folded it back over! Simple as that!  So when it opens, you see the entire inside. Really - it is that easy!!

Let's color!

I stamped my focal image from the My Wild Rose stamp set (isn't it GORGEOUS?) onto a piece of white Neenah cardstock. using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Amethyst Spray Embossing Powder. Next, I grabbed my Nuvo Marker Pens from the Palma Violets and Irish Clover collections and set to coloring. I think the blending came out fantastic, don't you? These pens are so much fun to work with!!!  I also use the Colorless Blender Pen. (You can see in the photo I was also playing with coloring using the Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens!!)

I trimmed the image down and use a matching piece of purple cardstock to mat the image for the card front. Next up came embossing on the gorgeous Tonic Mirror Cardstock!!!  Grab your Antic Static bag and let's get embossing.

First up, I rubbed the Anti Stati Bag across the mirror cardstock and then I stamped the rose image multiple times, creating a beautiful border edge (this piece is going to be on the interior of your card - so you want the roses "peeking" off the edge). I used the Amethyst Spray Embossing Powder again and heat set.

Use your Tear-ific Tape to adhere it to the inside of the card. Isn't that rose image GORGEOUS???

The sentiment was stamped using Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder. Another rose was added on the front panel as well. Finally, Sweet Lilac Crystal Drops
Crushed Grape Crystal Drops and Silver Moondust Glitter Drops were added as accents - look how fine you can make your drops!

I hope you enjoyed this elegant handmade card!  I just love the combo of gold and purple together, don't you?  I hope to see you again really soon!!  I also love reading your comments - they mean a lot to me!!!

See ya next time!

First up, the lace background technique!  I took a piece of Sticker paper and cut it down to 4"x5.25". I removed the protective backing and exposed the adhesive, then carefully laid down my piece of lace.

I sprinkled on my Daffodil Embossing Powder and burnished it in well, making sure that it covered all the exposed adhesive.

I brushed off all the excess powder, removed the lace CAREFULLY and did the same process with my Silver Pearl Embossing to cover all the remaining exposed adhesive. I carefully pressed it in so as not to disturb the daffodil powder.  After brushing off the excess powder, I heat set and voila!  Beautiful lace background!

Next up, I played with my Lemon Sorbet Embellishment Mousse!  I brushed it on the edges of my background and of my printed Digital image. I love these Mini Blender Brushes 1558e.

Next step - FLOCKING!
I used the Canary Flocking to add some dimension to our mama's dress. I used the Medium Nuvo Glue Pen to add adhesive, then sprinkled on the Canary Flocking, carefully pressing in to adhere.  I also added some Peach Belinni Microfine Glitter to her flowers and Sparkling Snow Glitter to the MOM lettering.

I added Limoncello Jewel Drops, Morning Dew Crystal Drops and Dandelion Yellow Crystal drops for some added embellishment.

The buttons were from my stash and I dipped them in Versamark Ink, then embossed with the Silver Pearl Embossing Powder.

All my layers were adhered with 1/2" Tear-ific Tape (you gotta have this stuff in your stash!).

I hope you enjoyed my project.  I can't wait for you to hop along to Anne's Blog HERE to see what gorgeous creation she has came up with for you!

Until next time,

Jess

Digital Delights - NEW Release!

Hello friends!

It's time for a New Release over at Digital Delights!  I had the pleasure of working with a new Digi called "Whale Riding Mickey" - isn't he cute? :)

Here is what I created:

I colored him using my ShinHan TwinTouch Markers.  I just added a bit of the Lolly Jolly Digital Paper that I had leftover on my desk, a die cut "congrats" sentiment and some candy dots!  Simple, elegant, fun!

I hope you like my whale-y cute card! (bahahah - too corny?).  Have a great day!

Watercolor Flowers with SparkleNSprinkle!

Hello friends!

Happy Friday!

I'm back with another GORGEOUS card for SparkleNSprinkle June Release!  This time, I did a lot of fussy cutting and I think it sure added a ton of WOW factor to the card!

Supply List:
- Crimson
- Violet

To begin my card, I started by watercoloring a piece of Watercolor Paper using the Ken Oliver Color Burst Powders.  I simply sprinkled some of the powder on and created a sort of ombre effect using my aquapainter. I dried the paper using my heat tool (although you could just simply set it aside to dry - I was impatient! hehe).  Then, I used my Wild Rose Stamp and Memento Black Ink to stamp flowers all over my watercolor background. Then I grabbed my paper snips and started cutting out all those gorgeous flowers!

Once all my flowers were cut out, I started to create the card itself.  I used a square piece of Watercolor Paper and stamped a full set of flowers in the corner using Memento Black Ink.  I took my Jade Nuance Watercolor powder and painted in my leaves.  Now is where the fun comes in!  I started piecing back together my flowers using my fussy cut pieces!  I popped some up on Foam Squares for added dimension and texture to the card.  I also used my Quicky Glue Pen (a MUST HAVE in your craft stash!) and added some Hyacinth Glitter to the center of some of the flowers.  I stamped the "Happy Birthday" Sentiment using Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder. Simple and elegant I think!

To finish my card, I added some green and purple cardstock layers.  I used Embossing Folders (Diamond Pattern and Brick Pattern) to emboss both my background and my cardbase itself. I also added a natural fiber ribbon from my stash. All layers were attached with 1/8" Tear-ific Tape.  This stuff holds EVERYTHING together perfectly well. Such a versatile and amazing adhesive product.  I added some layers on the inside as well as another sentiment stamped with Versamark and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder.  I also added an extra color brush stroke with my Aquapainter and Watercolor Powder.  Just a little finishing touch.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.  I sure had fun making it.

Until next time,

Jess

Gold, Butterflies & Flowers with SparkleNSprinkle!

Hello friends!

Today I have a SparkleNSprinkle June Release card to share with you!  This stamp set, Country Flowers, is simply gorgeous!  I love the vintage feel of it. PLUS, I love working with the Nuvo Embellishment Mousse!  Let's go!

Supply List:
Nuance Watercolor Powders:
     - Purple {MNU003}
     - Jade {MNU004}
     - Orange {MNU006}

To start, I stamped the GORGEOUS Flower image onto Watercolor paper using the Memento Black Ink.  I used my Nuance Watercolor Powders and an aquabrush to paint. So much fun!  I just love how these powders blend and create gorgeous color.  Once it was dry, I fussy cut out the image.

To make the background, I chose a piece of purple cardstock and used a Butterfly Embossing folder to add texture. Then came the fun part - Nuvo Embellishment Mousse!  I used my finger tool and rubbed some of the Indian Gold Mousse all over the butterflies to give a gilded gold look!  I just love this stuff!

I added 2 strips of 1/8" Tear-ific Tape across the bottom of the background and sprinkled on some Pineapple Embossing Powder (heat setting of course!).  I think it adds another subtle layer of dimension.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink, embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder and die cut it out. I rubbed on some more of that gorgeous Embellishment Mousse!  I popped up both the sentiment and image on Foam Sqaures. I adhered the entire panel to my cardbase using Tear-ific Tape and finished off by adding 4 dots of Bright Gold Crystal drops in the corners.

I hope you enjoy this card and be sure to head over to the shop to pick up some of these fun supplies!  Especially the mousse ;)

Until next time,

Jess

SparkleNSprinkle - Feeling "Royal"

Hello friends!

I'm here for SparkleNSprinkle showcasing some new products in the shop!  This card had me feeling "Royal" - gold and blue!  I played with the new Nuvo Embellishment Mousse as well as the new release June Stamp Set Wild Rose (#785).

Here is my supply list:

To make this card, I started by taking a piece of blue cardstock and placing my Want2Scrap Fleur de Lis stencil overtop. I like to secure my stencils with some washi tape to make sure they don't move around. I used a sponge and added my Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse. I like this product so much! It's easy and fun to work with and leave a variety of textures. It dries fairly quickly too.

To make the background, I cut my piece of Metallic Gold Cardstock to size (4x5.25) and used an embossing folder to add some treadmark texture. I adhered my blue panel using Tear-ific Tape.

Next, I worked on my image. I stamped the beautiful flower stamp from Wild Rose onto a piece of Watercolor Paper using Memento Ink and watercolored it using Nuance Watercolors in Jade & Cerulean Blue.  Then, I cut the image using a circle die.

To finish off the image, I added some Crystal Drops in Bright Gold.  I think they add so much texture and added interest, don't you?  I stamped my sentiment from Wild Rose using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed using Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a label die and then I added a few more Bright Gold Crystal Drops and let dry. Now came the FUN!  I used my finger tool and added more Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse to the edges of my images.  I just love how the gold mousse adds interest and flair!

To finish the card, I tied a piece of Tan 1/8" Pull Ribbon and then popped up the image using Foam Squares. I adhered the sentiment using Tear-ific Tape for perfect hold and then added the entire panel to the cardbase (also using Tear-ific Tape!).

I love how this card turned out and I hope you do too!

Now, head on over to the shop and pick up some of these super fun products!

Until next time,

Jess

I sure had a lot of fun with this stamp set!

I started by stamping the image from Country Flowers using Memento Ink and watercoloring the flowers. I used the Pearlescent Watercolors and some of the Jade Nuance Watercolor Powder.  I just love how easy these products are to work with!

Next, I made my background using the Lace Technique and sticker paper!  Simply, I removed the adhesive backing on the Sticker Paper and carefully laid down my lace.  I sprinkled on the Ice Embossing Powder, removing the excess.  I then carefully removed the lace and quickly sprinkled on Aqua Marine Glitter.  I lightly tapped to remove the excess glitter, then heat set.  It made a really cool background!  I then added on some Hyacinth Glitter and rubbed it in, accenting that lace design even more.

I die cut out my colored image and matted using a purple background.  I also used a purple background for my lace paper. I took 2 strips of Tear-ific Tape and used Hyacinth Glitter to make a ribbon in the background behind my image.  I stamped the image onto watercolor paper again and painted 2 flowers, fussy cutting them out.  I used the Sakura Glue Pen to add some Hyacinth Glitter to the centers, then popped them up with Foam Squares.

To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment using Versamark Ink and used Black Detail Embossing Powder to highlight it. I then took my Pure Platinum Embellishment Mousse, and using my finger, applied as an accent/highlight to my card and sentiment. I just love this stuff!

I'm really happy how this card turned out!  Up next on our blog hop you will find Eret and you can find her blog here.

Until next time,
