Cheeky Studios - November Guest Designer

Hello friends!

I'm so excited to share with you my Guest Design Team Member creation for Cheeky Studio this month!  I shared an unboxing video earlier this month along with a sneak peek over on my Facebook page!  Now today I get to do the grand reveal!!

For this sweet layout, I used the Autumn Beauty Cut Apart Labels and the Autumn Beauty Ephemera. They perfectly fit with my fall themed layout!

scrapbooking layouts

I used the leaves in the ephemera to make a border at the top of the page and gently wrapped some twine around them.  I love the bright and bold colors in the pack!

I did a little "doodle borders" around my photo boxes. The Cut Apart Labels made adorable little title boxes.

Other supplies: Paper (PhotoPlay Fall Breeze), neutral twine, white cardstock, journaling pen.adhesive and foam squares.

I also was blessed to play with the beautiful Sweet Succulent Cut Apart Circles and Ephemera! With these, I decided to make up a set of cards!   Take a peek:

I hope you head over to the Cheeky Studio site to grab a few things! The quality it top notch and who doesn't love supporting small family businesses? I even have a discount code for you: Guest10

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to go and create handmade cards & scrapbooking layouts!!!

See you again soon!

Rinea Scrapbook Layout

Hello friends!

I have one more project for Rinea to share with you this month. Our partnership with Rita Barakat continues - and you will see I used that sweet little Fairy stamp again. I also had one of her stencils to play with! Now, I have to admit that stencils are completely out of my comfort zone, so I tried by best!!!  This is an 8x8 page.

For this project I used pieces from the Misfits Variety Pack (Crafters Pack 6x12).   I used the Glossy Sapphire Blue and the stencil! I took a pencil and traced the pattern through HARD enough to raise it up, then use sandpaper to rough it up. I actually re-applied the stencil and used some Nuvo Glitter Accents and a palette knife to apply the glitter through the stencil over top of the the distress stenciled image! Are you still with me? Basically, I stenciled it twice :) I layered it onto a piece of Starstruck Silver Foiled Paper and cut in half.

You can see where I adhered the one half of this stencil portion - on the right hand side of my page!  What did I do with the other half? Simple - die cut little flowers!  You can see those scattered across the center of the page. I used the Emerald Starstruck Foiled Paper to mat my 4x4 photos.

See in the background? I actually used the Rita Barakat Fairy Girl stamp again - this time as a mask and stamp!  To do that - I simply laid the stamp with the actual rubber part upwards (think opposite of regular stamping) and sprayed with a glimmer spray a few times. Now I created a masked area under the stamp - and inked up my stamp at the same time!  While it was still wet, I quickly turned over the stamp and stamped with inked up stamp!  I thought it turned out super cute!

A few more Glitter Accents were used with my flower trail. All the flowers were built and adhered with Glue Dots (perfect for fussy work!).

There you have it - a cute summer time page!

The supplies I used for this page:
- Blue, Green & White Cardstock
- Glue Dots
- adhesive tape
- patterned paper of choice
- glimmer spray (mine was Heidi Swapp)
- Nuvo Crystal Drops - White
- Nuvo Glitter Accents - Fresh Snowfall

I hope you will make time this fall to scrap your summer memories.

See you soon!

Emily Showers Scrapbook Layout for SparkleNSprinkle

Hello friends!

I'm back again today with a second scrapbook layout for SparkleNSprinkle!  I really love this sweet Digital Stamp called Emily Showers! It's just too cute!

Green Iris Glitter - G1068

Scrapbook Layout Instructions

I took a strip of 2.5" Tear-ific Tape and applied it to my piece of patterned paper. I randomly sprinkled on the Ocean, Ballerina and Reflection Glitters, then burnished it all into the exposed adhesive creating a fun background!

The rest of the layout came together quite quickly!  After printing off the gorgeously pre-colored Digital Stamp image, I added my glitter to her hair, hearts and umbrella using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen. I used Aztec Gold Glitter - G1006Ballerina Microfine Glitter - GM024
Reflection Microfine Glitter - GM2007Ocean Glitter - G1126, Green Iris Glitter - G1068 (now retired) and Hyacinth Glitter - G2028.  I used Hyacinth on the word "Happiness" and fussy cut it out. "Squiggles" were randomly drawn as frames with Nuvo Glue Pen and Reflection glitter sprinkled on.  I also added 2 strips of 1/4" Tear-ific Tape on top of my background strip and applied Ocean Glitter to one and Reflection Glitter to the other.

All of my layers were adhered with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape for excellent hold. You really need a bunch of it in your stash! :D  I finished off the layout with some drops of RoseWater Nuvo Jewel Drops and Silver Moondust Crystal Drops.

I hope you enjoy this layout and go have some scrapbook fun of your own today!
Until next time,

Jess

Scrapbook Layout for SparkleNSprinkle

Hello friends!

I have a fun Scrapbook Layout to share with you today for SparkleNSprinkle!  I decided to make a St. Patrick's Day Layout, featuring the Edward Elephant Digital Stamp Set!

Supply List for Scrapbook Layout #1 - St. Patrick's Day
Foam Squares - 01613
Irish Spring Embossing Powder - EP260

Scrapbook Layout #1

I printed my Digital Stamp onto white cardstock and fussy cut out. I added some Elephant Gray Flocking (what else!) to his feet and other areas using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen to adhere! :)  Irish Spring Embossing Powder was added to the clovers.

I created a distressed look on my base paper by using the Tonic Studios Brushes to apply Gold Embellishment Mousse!  I just love this stuff!

I cut out a piece of Sticker Paper and applied Elegant Emerald Glitter & Golden Wheat Glitter to make a really neat background piece.  Using the Small Nuvo Glue Pen, I created an adhesive "ring" around my round piece of cardstock and applied the Sunkissed Copper Gilding Flakes to make a border. P.S. Don't have your furnace on when you apply these! LOL Don't ask me why ;)

Golden Wheat Micofine Glitter was applied to my large outer chipboard ring (I used the Large Nuvo Glue Pen to create the sticky base!) and I used Irish Spring Embossing Powder on the inner ring (again, using the Large Glue Pen - and I did 2 layers to make sure I had full coverage).

I embossed a piece of white cardstock using a heart embossing folder and rubbed on some of the Gold Embellishment Mousse for extra texture.  Spring Green Embellishment Mousse was rubbed onto the saying, Golden Wheat Glitter on the pot of gold, Fire Engine Red Glitter on the heart and more Spring Green Embossing Powder on the clover. I love that you can add accents anywhere with a simple Glue Pen! :)

All of my layers were adhered with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape and the Chipboard elements were adhered Brushable Glue.  To add some finishing touches, Crystal Drops in Apple Green were added between the chipboard circles and the journal box.

I hope you enjoy this layout - I had a lot of fun making it!

Until next time,

Jess
