I chose to work the beautiful
Corner Garden Stamp Set.

Supply List:
Corner Garden Stamp Set #842

Versamark Ink VM001

Flashy Flamingo Embossing Powder EP452

Embellishment Mousse - Pink Flambe 813N

Clear Embossable Actate - 99602

Black Detail Embossing Powder EP171

1/4" Tear-ific Tape - SAT01

Anti Static Bag - 99512

I had a lot of fun making this card! To start, I took my Anti-Static bag and rubbed it all over my Clear Embossable Acetate piece. This helps to make sure the embossing powder stays put and doesn't fly away everywhere! I stamped my Corner Garden Stamp Set on each corner using Versamark Ink and embossed with Flashy Flamingo Embossing Powder.

I set that piece aside and went to work on my main panel. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder. I randomly stamped the flowers and butterfly images using Versamark ink, then rubbed on some colored chalk to color the images! I love this technique - and hadn't worked with my chalks in a long time!

To add some texture, I rubbed on the Pink Flambe Embellishment Mousse randomly over the white panel.

I decided to make some custom brads - so I took my white brad, dipped it into Versamark Ink, then dipped it into Flashy Flamingo Embossing Powder and heat set. I used tweezer to hold the brad as it get very hot! After heating the embossing powder, I immediately dipped it back into the Flashy Flamingo Embossing Powder to add a second layer.

I used the brads to attached the Acetate Layer to the white panel. Finally, I attached the entire piece to the cardbase using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape!

I hope you enjoy this card!  I had fun making it! The next stop on our blog hop is the always amazing Donna and you can find her blog HERE.

See you next time!

SparkleNSprinkle - Irish Blessings #2

Hello friends!

I have another new creation for SparkleNSprinkle today featuring the Irish Blessings stamp set!  This one has a fun, angled fold!

Supply List:

STEP 1: Print off the Digital Paper!
Isn't this gorgeous paper?  I chose to work with the green splattered background and printed off a couple sheets to work with (how cool is that?)

STEP 2: Make your fun folds!

I chose to do a Diagonal Gate Fold for this card.
My cardstock piece measured 5.5" by 8.25".  I used my scoring tool to make score lines at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2". After folding them in, I made score lines to the outside pieces on the diagonal (I should have made a quick video - idea for next time!). It's actually quite simple.

Step 3: Your Accents
I took a coordinating green cardstock and ran it through an embossing folder to create texture.  Next, I took my Mother of Pearl Embellishment Mousse to accent the embossed texture.

I stamped the adorable clover hat image onto white cardstock with Versamark Ink and Embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder.  I colored in the image using ShinHan Twin Touch Markers.  I added Aztec Gold Glitter to the buckle of the hat using the Small Nuvo Glue Pen.  I used a scalloped die to cut out the image and a background piece.  I used the Mother of Pearl Embellishment Mousse to accent the outside edges of the image.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder, then fussy cut out.

After I cut down the printed Digital Paper to fit my panels, I stamped the clovers randomly around using Versamark Ink and embossed with Silver Pearl Embossing Powder! It gave such a nice, subtle background!  I also added a sentiment to the inside panel using the Versamark Ink and Black Detail Embossing Powder.

STEP 4: Adhere your layers!

All of the panels were adhered using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape (love, love love this stuff!)  Some green ribbon from my stash was added for some extra touches.

I hope you enjoy this card!  I had a lot of fun making it.  Don't forget to check out all the other amazing items in the SparkleNSprinkle shop!

Until next time,

Jess

Creative Corner Challenges - For the Dogs

Hello friends!

It's time for another fun week over at Creative Corner Challenges!  We didn't have a sponsor, so we were free to work with whatever we wanted. Our theme? FOR THE DOGS!  Anything to do with our furry friends!

I had to make some Dog Sympathy cards, so I grabbed this digital stamp from SparkleNSprinkle and went to work! Here is what I created:

The digi was pre-colored, so it was a snap to make!  I added a bit of shimmer with the Clear Shimmer Brush  from Close to My Heart.

I hope you will come out and play along with us!

SparkleNSprinkle - Irish Blessings #1

Hello friends!

I have a super fun "lucky" card to share with you today for SparkleNSprinkle!  I created this card using the Irish Blessings Stamp Set!

Supply List:

I started by stamping my main horseshoe image using Versamark Ink and embossing with Black Detail Embossing Powder (my go-to powder for outlining!).  I colored in the image using ShinHan TwinTouch Markers.  Using the Versamark, I stamped some of the clovers around the image and embossed with Palm Green Embossing Powder. I took a second piece of white cardstock and inked up the entire panel with the Versamark Ink Pad (just tapping it around randomly).  Then, I sprinkled on the Palm Green Embossing Powder and heat set - creating a really cool background.

Next, I set to work on my flowers!  I took a piece of 2.5" Tear-ific Tape and applied it to a piece of white cardstock. I punched out my shapes and then simply peeled off the adhesive backing and applied my Luau Green Glitter (burnishing well!).  So quick and easy!

I used the Mini Blender Brush  to apply Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse to all the edges of my paper pieces.  I stamped the Good Luck sentiment in with Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder.  I followed the same stamping pattern with the clovers around the sentiment, and rubbed on some of the Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse to further accent the pieces.

All the layers were adhered with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. To add that finishing touch, Bright Metallic Gold Enamel Drops were added to accent the horseshoes and corners.

I'm also entering this card in the Cardz4Galz Challenge #42 - Name Your Powder!

I hope you enjoy this card and I can't wait to share more with you next time!

Creative Corner Challenges - Girly Fun with The Paper Shelter

Hello friends!

I'm a bit late with posting, but I created 2 fabulous cards for our Girly Fun Challenge over at Creative Corner Challenges!  Our Sponsor was The Paper Shelter.  Their images are gorgeous and I LOVE that I can work with pre-colored digis! ;)

We were blessed to work with the Digi called "Mad About Shoes" and I made 2 cards.  The first is using a "cracked glass technique" and the second is a more shabby, vintage look.

To make the cracked glass/ice technique, I simply covered the image with Versamark Ink, sprinkled on Super Thick Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. I repeated the process one more time and then placed the image in the freezer for about 5 minutes.  After the 5 minutes, I removed the image from the freezer and went about cracking! :)  Super fun!

I'm entering the Cracked Glass Card in the Cardz4Galz Challenge #42!

I hope you come and play along with us this week!  Until next time,
