Creative Knockouts Challenge #321

Hello crafty friends!

It's time for a new challenge over at Creative Knockouts Challenge!!

Our theme this week is "Embossing Delights" and our sponsor is the always FABULOUS Fabrika Fantasy!   I chose to work with a stamp set called "Betta Fish Crowntail".  My daughters just picked out some Betta fish of their own so it was perfect timing :) Check out the stamp:

Here is what I created:

I did use the pre-colored digi version - but I superimposed it over the uncolored version with the bubbles!  I used a Versamark Pen to add my embossing powder to the bubbles and some to the fish itself.  I also used a dry embossing folder for the background. SO you can add Embossing with digis!!! :)  The sentiment was also heat embossed.

I hope to see you at the challenge! Good luck!

Until next time,

Jess

Shadow of the Almighty with Joy Clair

Hello everyone!

I'm back again today with a new Joy Clair creation!  This time, I'm using the Color By Faith series of stamps - and I chose to use the new release set called "Shadow of the Almighty".  I really love the beautiful lettering of this set.

Shadow of the Almighty | Bible Journaling Clear Stamps

I ended up creating two cards with this set  - as I couldn't decide between them!  Here they are:

Once again, I did use a shimmer spray over the sentiment - I really love the sheen it gave and softened everything. Aren't those little rubber boots adorable? I know it's Autumn...but I feel like these cards had a spring vibe to them!

Thanks for stopping by today and as always, thanks for supporting small business's like Joy Clair!

See you again next time!

Wish Big with Joy Clair

Hello friends!

I have a quick new card to share with you for Joy Clair stamps! I am using the beautiful NEW ARRIVAL stamp set called "Wish Big" on this card.  Aren't the images and sentiments just so darn pretty?

Wish Big | Clear Stamps

I was inspired to use a black & pink palette for this card, and here is what I created:

It's hard to see, but I sprayed the final card front with some really pretty shimmer spray to make it sparkly! It's a really iridescent shine - I love it!  I embossed the flower images too.

I really love how pretty this card turned out! I hope you like it too. Thank you for supporting small businesses like Joy Clair Stamps!!

See you again next time!

Creative Knockouts Challenge #319

Hello crafty friends!

It's time for a new challenge over at Creative Knockouts Challenge #319!

Our theme this week is "Fall" and our sponsor is the super cute "Sweet'N Sassy Stamps".

I chose to work with a stamp set called "Fall Arrangement".

Here is what I created:

I colored the image using a combo of Nuvo Marker Pens and ShinHan TwinTouch Markers.  A quick wrap of twin and a simple sentiment was all this image needed. I hope you like it!

I hope to see you at the challenge! Good luck!

Until next time,

Jess

World Cardmaking Day with Joy Clair - Outside the Box

Hello friends!  I'm back with CHALLENGE #3!

Click HERE to find all the information about Challenge #3. For this challenge, we are thinking OUTSIDE the box with our stamps!  That's right - open your window wide and create! SOOO - I set about create a vinyl covered altered notebook using the Mermaid at Heart stamp set!

I started by watercoloring the vinyl after it was adhered to my notebook and lightly sealed with a spray sealant. I added some super thick emobssing powders for dimention and texture.

There mermaid tail was stamped twice - once with ink and once with Versamark so I could emboss with a glitter embossing powder.  I stamped the sentiment onto the vinyl with Versamark and embossed with Gold Detail EP.  I repeated the same process on a piece of paper and fussy cut to fit on the original stamped image.

On the inside, I just added some simple stamping and started writing!  Both inside covers were covered with some mermaid patterned paper as well.

Celebrating World Cardmaking Day - MY SPACE

Hello friends!

Click HERE to find all the information about Challenge #1

I'm here with the rest of the gang of the Joy Clair team to share a bit about our workspaces and a tip!

SOOO....here it goes!  I finally found my desk (hahaha) and was able to take a few quick pics of it before it was completely covered again.  Take a peek:

You can see a few sneak peek projects in the making - can you spot them?

My tip is actually both papercraft AND non-papercraft related (SHOCKING!). I'm also a sewist - so I need to organize all my fabric!  Originally, I had it in totes, but it wasn't getting used that way. I decided to group it all by type - and LOOK how much I ended up with! WOW!  Better get to the sewing.  This brings me to my next tip - organizing your papercraft supplies!  Those black bins above the fabric are sorted between different types of supplies - in this case, my Rinea Foiled Paper, Adhesives, Tonic/Nuvo Products and Chipboard/Wood Accents. The rest of my office (while not this neat right now!) are also sorted this way - bins and photo boxes! It makes grabbing what I need quick and easy.

Pumpkin Fun with Rinea

Hello friends!

Fall leaves, crisp air.....it can only mean one thing....EVERYTHING PUMPKIN!!!   My first  Rinea Project this month is all about the pumpkins!!

Today I'm sharing an adorable handmade Pumpkin Welcome Sign! This was a fun project I tell ya! I'm obsessed with all the fun thing my local Dollar Tree store has, and I recently picked up a wooden pumpkin sign base and metal fall words. This was a perfect time to use them!

Here are the products you will need for this project:
 Haunted Foiled Paper Variety Pack
(I used the followed from the pack)
Marigold Glossy
Emerald Starstruck

Ghost Ink
Rubbing Alcohol
Adhesive of Choice
Scissors
Jute Twine
Sand Paper
I started by tracing my pumpkin onto a piece of Marigold Glossy Foiled Paper. I trimmed it out and glued it onto my pumpkin cutout with liquid adhesive. I used sandpaper to smooth the edges and add a bit of distressed look.

Next, I lightly traced out where I wanted my pumpkin lines to be - you know, the lines that make a pumpkin a pumpkin! Using a direct to paper method, I swiped my GHOST INK over my markings, light created swooshes and let dry.  I spritzed with rubbing alcohol and wiped off the color with a paper towel - MAGIC!!! LOVE the Ghost Ink!!!

I found some pumpkin leaf templates online, so I traced those onto my Emerald Starstruck Foiled paper and trimmed out. The were arranged and glued one along with my "Welcome" words. I tied some jute twine around the stem and voila!  Easy Peasy!

Love how this project came together!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog!  I love to read your comments -
