Papercraft Business Challenge #6

Welcome to our May 2018 Papercraft Business Challenge!

Our theme is Anything Goes (w/option: Mother's Day - for an extra entry to win the prize).
I've sure been busy prepping Mother's Day Cards, so this was a perfect theme!

Here is what I created:

I was working with a paper pack from Echo Park simply called "Mom Mini Theme". I needed to prepare a bunch of mini cards for a local florist, so this was perfect for the challenge!

See you all next time!

Until next time,

Jess

More Christmas Bauble Lanterns to Love

Hello friends!

I have one more Christmas Bauble Stamp Set card to share for SparkleNSprinkle!  Of course, I'm sure you remember my previous post HERE where I showed how to make these fabulous lanterns!  This is my second version of it - I hope you enjoy!

SNS Supply List:

Let's make a card!

So if you recall in my previous blog post, I stamped the Baubles with Versamark Ink, embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder and colored them with the Nuvo Marker Pens.  I fussy cut out the "lantern" shapes and set aside.

Next, I went to work on my background. Using the Abundant Bunting Tonic Studios Die, I cut out a piece of orange cardstock.  I applied a strip of 1 1/2" Tear-ific Tape across my patterned paper and applied the die cut. To the exposed adhesive, I added the Orange Crush glitter - I loved that it was semi-transparent and you could lightly see the background peeking through.

I really wanted to just use the "Celebrate" portion of the stamp, so I "doctored" it up by trimming off the bottom portion (VERY CAREFULLY!). Now, I have 2 separate stamps for the sentiment that I can still use together or apart.  Great idea, huh?  I stamped the sentiment using Versamark Ink and embossed with gorgeous Venus Violet Embossing Powder. I applied Sweet Lilac Crystal Drops and Honey Gold Glitter Drops as embellishements.

My "lanterns" were popped up on my background using foam squares and some twine was wrapped around for them to "hang" off of!  I used some mini clothes pins to hand my lanterns!  I used the Sakura Glue Pen to apply some Sparkling Snow Glitter to the lanterns as well.

I hope you enjoyed this project and I encourage you to think outside the box next time you see a Christmas stamp set! Remember to leave me a comment below and on the SNS Blog too to be eligible to win this month!

See ya soon!

Southern Ridge Kitty Cat Birthday

Hello crafty friends!

I'm here today to share with you another Southern Ridge Trading Company Design Team Project!

I used the following Southern Ridge items on this card:

Alrighty!  So, this card is quite a departure from last time!  I loved that the Cats had different poses to choose from!  I picked 3 of them and embossed them with various shades of SNS Embossing Powder. I covered each piece of chipboard with Versamark ink and covered them with multiple layers of embossing powder, heat setting each time.

To create the background, I tried some "mixed media" - now this is a big deal for me as I don't really think I'm GREAT at it...yet!  But, I like to try.

I used Tonic Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Mother of Pearl and Lilac Lavender to create some dimension with stencils! I used the Cherry Blossom Stencil and Butterfly Field Stencil and just randomly added them to the background. I sprayed the Turkish Rose Mica Mist over some of the flowers, the background and just randomly all over (look at me go with all the medias! Haha). I added some Fuschia Glass Glitter to the center of some of the flowers using Fresh Snowfall Glitter Accents.

My sentiment was stamped with Versamark Ink and embossed with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. Finally, I used some Crystal Drops in Party Pink and Gold to randomly add accents. I love that the playful cats are peeking out to wish the recipient a happy birthday!

I can't wait to see you all again in two weeks or so to share my next creation!  Now, head on over to www.chipboard.ca to grab your fave chipboard! :)

Scrapy Land Challenge #88

Hello friends!

Welcome to Scrapy Land {Challenge #88}!  I'm very excited to share my project with you.

The theme is always ANYTHING GOES using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.  In addition, we have TWO WINNERS for each challenge.  One will be a random winner and the other is chosen by the Design Team.  Each winner will receive a generous $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.

Scrapy Land carries over 55 brands of dies, so chances are you have a few of the brands in your stash!  You can see all the brands carried under the Products category.

Please link back to this Scrapy Land Challenge and include the link to this challenge on your blog post.  It would also be extremely helpful if you would list the brands of dies used in your project.  (Sometimes we can't tell if an item is a die cut or chipboard.)

We can't wait to see what you create!  It can be any style you like from CAS to mixed media and everything in between.    Just be sure there's a die cut from a brand that Scrapy Land sells!

This was a quick, clean and simple card!  I used the Spring Flowers Oval Label die from Precious Marieke and the Mr. Mrs. Die from Frantic Stamper (you can find a similar one HERE) to create this card!  Lots of glitter paper - lots of glitter drops!  Sometimes you just don't need to overthink a card!!

Good luck!

Kitty Bee Designs - Challenge #116

Hello friends!

It's time for another challenge at Kitty Bee Designs!  Challenge #116 is sponsored by FAVE - SparkleNSprinkle!!!

Our theme is "Rain, Rain Go Away".

Since I have like 100 SparkleNSprinkle stamps, I chose to work with a rubber stamp set :) I used the "Friendship Flowers" set. I pulled on the theme of "rain" to mean sprinkling water droplets from the watering can ;)  Since it is STILL snowing up here, it's the closest to flowers I will be getting for awhile! haha.

Here is what I created:

I used Crystal Drops in Morning Dew to emulate the water droplets.

I hope you will come along and play with us this challenge!  See you next time!

SparkleNSprinkle - Tulip Squares

Hello crafty friends!

I have a really fun card to share with you today for SparkleNSprinkle!  I think that this was my fave of all the stamp sets this month AND I was able to play with some NEW markers to boot!

Here is my SNS Supply List:

Other Supplies:
- Redm White & Black Cardstock
- Brads
- Polka Dot Embossing Folder

Alrighty - let's get stamping!!!

First up, I stamped my "window" frame image of the Tulip Square stamp set using my Stamp Platform. I stamped onto white cardstock using Versafine Ink.  Then, I grabbed my BRAND NEW Nuvo Marker Pens and went to work coloring!  As you can see, you can blend them quite well!  I'm sorry I forgot to write down every single color I used -I'm so new to markers that I'm not used to that yet! haha :)  BUT - I know I used the Irish Clover Set - and they are such a great value (you get 3 pens to a set!) that you should just pick them all up! haha :)

Next, I stamped the ladybugs just free hand using the Versafine and again, colored them with the Nuvo Markers. Then I fussy cut them out :) I had this really cute Mandala Ladybird Set from Tonic sitting in my stash that I hadn't used yet, so I thought that would be a great addition to this card. I cut it out using red and black cardstock.  I just wanted a little something special on him, so I added some Magic Speckle Embossing Powder.

Then, it was simple - layers and final sentiments! I stamped the "Ladybug Hugs" sentiment onto a scrap of white cardstock and embossed with Red Apple Embossing Powder. That I punched out using a 1" punch.  A small black brad was added to make the sentiment pop like a tag. Ruby Slippers Glitter Drops decorated and embellished. All the layers were adhered using 1/2" and 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. I also added 2 layers of the 1/2" and 1/4" Tear-ific Tape across my card background panel and added the Fire Engine Red Glitter. To my little fussy cut ladybugs, I used the Smooth Precision Glue Pen to add Black Suede Glitter to their backs and polka dots. :) If you notice closely, I used a polka dot embossing folder on textured cardstock to create my background panel.  A little slip of ribbon completed the card!

I'm still new to the world of alcohol marker coloring - so I hope you think I did a great job! :) I love how the little ladybugs are walking up the window!

Now - leave me a comment, then go over the the SNS blog to leave me a comment there too so you can be entered in our big monthly contest! :)

See ya soon!

Hello friends!

It's time to share my April  MHKDesigns Designer Inspiration card! I used the new release stamp set called "Caring Crocus" to create this card.

This is another sweet little notecard size (about 4x4.5"). I printed off the digi and watercolored with Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens. A few Crystal Drops were added as embellishment and a bit of twine around the bottom.  I can't wait to give this to someone who needs a little pick me up!
